I can appreciate that fucking at work or filming a sex tape are fairly standard reasons to get fired from a job.”

LMAO this article is chock FULL of whataboutism. “But senate bad because senate do this and this!” A staffer got fired for sexual misconduct. No one is “outraged” about it, and no one “expects” you to be either. This is just the kind of shit that gets you fired, especially in politics. Move on.

It’s gross and dumb and what happens or doesn’t happen in that room because of the people that Americans choose to send to Washington doesn’t really change that?

Thinking about using this “logic”, anyone who ever takes prescription meds while pregnant could be thrown in jail. If giving prescription drugs to the non-prescribee is a crime, then no medication of any type could ever be taken for nine months.

They do use the term “man’s man” to praise someone who holds traditionally masculine and heteronormative interests and behaviors.

“Look, our entire voting base is nothing but snowbirds who aren’t going to last until the end of the decade. Might as well let them creep up the skirts of 16 year olds while they’re still above ground.” -Florida GOP

Dickensian was always an unfair term. Dickens knew that there was nothing worse than the exploitation of children.

I moved from MA to TX. The politics are indeed absolutely horrifying and inhumane. I am scared to live here, but also scared to leave. Why would I be scared to flee such a dystopian mega church conglomerate?

I love the original movie. But an adaptation of the musical version feels unnecessary and I don’t feel inclined to go see it. Also, what were they thinking with how they styled Regina for this?

Watching all the coal counties in Eastern Kentucky go blue makes my heart happy! Now, if they only realized that Republicans are awful for them, on the national scale.

yeah, b/c arresting the rapist makes the pregnancy go away!  magic!

So, Harry saying he *didn’t* get an invitation in response to a news article is the just like Dakota Johnson telling Ellen she *did* get an invitation directly to Ellen because... both involved invitations? That’s it? And that the Johnson thing led to the end of Ellen’s show *three years later*, a claim which is

This article is completely style-over-substance. I have no idea whether there was an invitation or not, and what Harry’s position is, or…

That would be my take on it considering the fallout but this article is just a mess explaining what happened by trying to draw some parallel to something that happened on an old Ellen show.

I guess. I don’t mind strange writing as long as I can understand it. Laura Bassett wrote her Crystal Jewell posts to be charmingly zany yet also cogent and relatable. That was some weird Jezebel writing I could get behind. But this Dakota Johnson stuff just leaves me befuddled.

I tend to think an invite was sent but Harry  has decided that anything that does not arrive in his preferred manner does not count.

Huh?

I’m a bit confused here, was there an invite sent or not?

I think Ashcraft wanted to write about Dakota Johnson, so they hamfisted her into a story about Prince Harry?

This article is strange and confusing to me.
