Nope, what you described is the demonizing done by the likes of Jenny McCarthy and friends.

I read an AskReddit thread last month asking autistic individuals what they wished people knew about their lives. One of the highest-rated comments was from an autistic person saying that Autism Speaks was a “horrible” organization, and a lot of people on the Spectrum chimed in saying similar things, that the

THIS. ALL OF THIS. Hell, women are EXPLICITLY told to start prefacing their points with this kind of bullshit language, so as to not hurt the delicate feelings of men with their tyrannical female “aggressiveness” by being direct, like a man would. There are tons of examples in the comments. Direct = adult people that

Thank you. I am also a TA (three weeks away from my doctorate) and I have taught college classes for years. “I feel like” is merely an expression. It means, “I think.” Just as “I was like” is an expression that means “I said” or “I felt.” People (mostly men) who pretend that they don’t understand these phrases, or

I am not always the most confident person on the planet, but I have learned well how to assert myself and discuss ideas like an adult, and this was truly a big part of it.

Academic condemns students “feeling” things as “tyranny.” The irony is rich and buttery.

It is not a “millennial” thing. People often use “I feel” as a qualifier when they have less power than the person they are speaking to - and are afraid of being shut down or dismissed. Most often, I hear it when someone is speaking to their boss or someone who has more authority in the work place.

I only use “I feel like” when I’m about to talk shit or I actually have no evidence to back what I’m saying and what I’m saying is actually just a guess/feeling. Example: I feel like this bar will just be more fun than that bar tonight.

I 1000% agree. This is an absolute violation when she clearly was uninviting him out of her space and he willfully ignored her plea. unfuckingbelievable that there are humans that think this shit is A ok. What the fuck.

OP said camera lenses can be male-gazey. This is a perfect application of OP’s statement. If going into someone’s face to shoot them against their will isn’t male-gazey-rapeish, I don’t know what is.

He said “we paid for you” and also didn’t respond to her “stop” and “no.” Maybe it sounds very radical fem but camera lens can be male gazey and with the non consent here this feels kind of rapey (no, that doesn’t undermine actual rape...this is a different degree but in my understanding there is a spectrum of

pinkham was da bomb. her family were abolitionists and frederick douglas was her neighbor. there is still a clinic in salem, ma that bears her name and gives free health care and vaccines to poor women and their kids.

I loved his trash taking concerning hockey with Canadian Premier Trudeau.

Yeah I don’t get it. I mean, I know he talks about feminism a lot, but there are reasons for that.

i’m honestly starting to get a little worried about him

No one gives a shit if you don’t like her music. She is doing what she loves again after being treated like shit. Being an ass doesn’t make you look cool.

*sigh* I said this yesterday and I’ll repeat it now:

The GOP is now only performing the duties of their jobs by accident.

Boehner also speculated about surprises that could come closer to the Democratic National Convention if Hillary Clinton’s emails became a larger scandal.

I don’t think you’re giving enough credit to kids. They know a lot at an early age about themselves, and to deny them that causes irreparable harm. We aren’t talking about taking hormones at that age to change genders, but we are talking about letting kids express their true identity, and that’s a good thing.
