Re: SAT scores
@donveynor: When I took it, it was out of 1600. How old is she?
I wonder if someone getting pregnant despite knowing they would have a risky pregnancy would consititue reckless behavior.
@LoSpaz: After my miscarriage, I had an ever growing list of reasons for why it happened: I didn't stop my dance class, I once ate brownie batter that wasn't cooked, what if the doctors were wrong and there wasn't actually a miscarriage but I let them do the D&C anyway... The guilt you feel for something you didn't…
@EmilyTimbol: Your skull is like a second stomach, like how cows have more than one stomach. When people say they have "food on the brain" that is not a joke. There is LITERALLY food on their brains! This is mainstream science!
@IBleedGlitter: The High Priestess of Tinsel: I would guess increasing rates of poverty would actually explain it. Poverty and lack of prenatal care has a correlation to low-birth weight babies.
@pesematology: You must not forget. Thankfully, there are people to remind you.
@heavymetalkarma likes snow: I'm 35, and I keep reading that the youngin's now days are just expected to do the whole brazilian thing. Is that really true? Is it just a NYC thing or is true everywhere?
@pesematology: I can translate that for you: "Hiding their ugly"
@lalie (apologetic mess): I believe the problem was that the girls were too small to fit the size 2 samples.
@rd2uk: And the Target bag... more normal!
The biggest risk of a condom that doesn't fit is the dreaded "muffin cock." How embarrassing that must be!
It seems that for a while there, the only books I ever saw about French mothers were ones that pointed out how much American mothers suck and how the French have it all figured out. And they are skinny at the same time.
@mommy_dearest: Just to be clear, I'm not saying TEACHERS make this argument. Other people who don't want to PAY teachers make this argument.
@booter26: You should see the letters to the editor when we are trying to pass our school levies here. I swear, every time there are always a few who make the argument about "don't pay them more or they won't be dedicated enough." I swear!
@annewithaneee: none taken!
@annewithaneee: It is better if I learn my old English proverbs, than to speak up and prove my own ignorance. At least she gets credit for using an apt proverb!
@Scoldy Lox: Seriously. Hers was quite well put.
@RedLantern: Oh yes. I have heard so many times that paying teachers less is an effective way to find the people for whom it is a calling. If it isn't a calling, we don't want them to be teachers. But of course, there are plenty of people who find teaching to be a calling, but the rent keeps calling, too!
