Watch it. I loved it when I found it on DVD about 15 years ago. Avalon’s aesthetic is extremely cool in my opinion. I love the European setting. I would also strongly recommend Sky Crawlers. Both have Kenji Kawai’s music, too (Ghost in the Shell music).

About 90% of cartoons on French channels in the 80's were made in Japan, or entirely Japanese. We were spoiled.
