mmhmm, butter...I agree. Much better than eating an entire cakes worth of day old cake batter.
It was probably raw/undercooked. Oooky either way.
This one is plotting it’s next attack.
Yes, I have. I get chicken and pork at the farmers market here occasionally; a little bit goes a long way if you don’t eat it every day.
Just don’t look at you-tube videos of chicken farms. They’re as bad, if not worse, than feed lots. Eggs too. I was convinced to buy Locally Laid eggs specifically because they’re pasture raised open air free range chickens. Haven’t found the same for chickens/beef/pork. mmmmm pork!
This American Life did a terrific segment (along with ProPublica, I think) about how potentially dangerous Tylenol/Acetaminophen is. There are a lot of meds -both OTC and RX- that have acetaminophen in them. People can overdose easily if they’re taking Tylenol along with the OTC or RX for an added ‘boost’. And there’s…
Our pediatrician told us that no kid would ever willfully starve themselves. That’s another way of saying that they’ll eat it when they’re hungry enough.
So that explains why folks add so much butter/syrup/fruit sauce to pancakes-which I agree, taste like nihilism. Not waffles though-they’re fine. And french toast, which is the shit.
mmmm quiche! and creamed spinach (creamed anything really).
When my girls were little I’d expect them to try everything once or twice. Put it in your mouth, chew it and swallow, not just taste it and spit it out. They both went through picky phases, including the oldest deciding at age 9 that she was vegetarian because ‘I can’t put dead animals in my mouth’. She’s 26 and still…
I sent two girls to college in WI but the only thing they love about the state is New Glarus. Two Women and my personal favorite-Yokel are the ones I always search for. It's worth a trip across the border for those of us in the Twin Cities.
Yes! Absolutely the best. I went to the fair yesterday and discovered that I can't eat fried food the way I used to. Glad I had the fritters first. If I'd had the deep fried buckeyes on a stick first I would have never tried anything else. They killed my appetite and gave me a stomach ache, not even soothed by beer.
