Exactly the response I got from a few commenters when I complained about Jezebel's Dirt Bag headline last week that asked if Charlize Theron was helping Jennifer Aniston score a black kid. I didn't understand it was satire. If lots of people don't "understand," the satire has failed.

There is a huge gender disparity due to female infanticide and feoticide. The population is also really young. So you have a society of really young men who don't have many female peers living with huge income disparity. India's economic boom hasn't reached everyone by a long shot.
