I’m curious to hear what you think about parenthood as someone who was on the fence until you became a parent (and maybe after). I’m very on the fence right now, and I’m about to turn 30, so I feel like I need to make a choice. I know I’d be a good parent, but I also like sleeping and traveling and having nice things.

The correct number of children is only 2 if you have a boy and a girl. Otherwise, people will bug you about trying for whatever you don’t have. Then when you have a third, they’ll lament that you have a middle child.

You’re screwed no matter how you do things.

I don’t have children, and I’m on the fence about whether I want them (and by “them,” I mean one child), but I’m about to turn 30 and have been married for nearly 5 years. My younger brother got married last summer and just announced his wife’s pregnancy on Facebook last week. The baby will be the first grandchild for

Meh. My parents have advanced degrees and didn’t pay for my college. They made it very clear from the time we were young that we would be expected to get jobs and save. College is only getting more expensive, and you don’t know their financial situations. Paying for college is a nice aspiration, but it is not

One of my friends (who is now in the process of adopting) says she’s barren. I admit I was taken aback the first few times she said it because it sounds so bleak.

I’m so sorry that this isn’t your choice to make. That really sucks.

My younger brother and his wife just announced their pregnancy this week, which means my in-laws saw it and immediately asked my husband when we are going to make them grandparents. My husband told them that if they want a baby to play with, there are plenty available for adoption.

OMG GRASSY KNOWLES IS MY NEW DRAG QUEEN NAME!

hahaha Oops!

Still waiting for John Cho to be cast in this. I wanted him for Nick. :-(

It’s so good! The sequel was a little disappointing, but I devoured Crazy Rich Asians. I went to Singapore on vacation last year for a few days, and it was really fun and “inside baseball” spotting some of the locations and hearing the “Singlish” slang from the book.

Oooooh! Very interesting indeed! I am concerned about Harry and Meghan. It all seems very fast, plus she’s an American actress of mixed race who has been previously married. I mean, it’s 2017 and all, but it’s also the British royal family.

“Oh, this? I borrowed it from my grandmother-in-law. You know, the QUEEN OF ENGLAND, which incidentally will be my title someday.”

FYI: The Catholic League is an organization founded and run by Bill Donohue, who is a hack. He’s basically the Rush Limbaugh of religious organizations, and the Catholic League pretty much just him. It is absolutely nothing like the ADL, which is does legitimate work. The Catholic League is basically just one dude

I just realized that scene is exactly how I feel about her loss. :-(((

She can’t win. When she’s legitimately snarky (Exhibit: the “deplorables” comment), she gets dragged for being mean. When she’s scripted snarky (Exhibit: “Trumped-up trickle-down”), she gets dragged for being fake. When she’s serious, she gets dragged for being cold and calculating. When she’s genuine and honest,

Here’s a little primer on hearsay evidence. This is definitely a trap you don’t want to fall into. Make sure the evidence you’re presenting is either documents or first-hand testimony. Don’t say, for example, that you know he isn’t paying child support because he told his friend who told you that he’s not giving you a

This is why the internet exists. Thank you, Bobby. You have a gift.

Well, best of luck to you. Focus on gathering evidence and trying to teach yourself the law (specifically the rules of evidence) as best you can. Stick with just the facts, and have a document or a witness backing up everything, when possible. For example, if his lawyer argues there was no due process, bring the court
