@AmazonRedheadedUberVixen: Yes I agree. My mother always carried a red leather tote with gold hardware which I find to be infinently timeless. Vintage Coach (pre-logo happy) is very cute.

I really hate the weird pigeon-toed trend. I think it's really the product of a patriarchal society. It sends a girlish, non-threatening vibe. Which is creepy when it's paired with their tiny, child-like figures.
@BAngieB: ew ew ew ewwwwww
@AmazonRedheadedUberVixen: Of course, I always try to follow this I just wanted to prove that some heart-shaped jewelry can be cute and tasteful!
@petuniacat: Also, sorry if this starts a riot, but I think Coach should be added to that list!
I bet he wish "magic" really worked right about now.
@AmazonRedheadedUberVixen: errrr....I'm not so sure but it usually refers to really, really big jewelry. Which is what I usually like. Not exactly a diamond solitaire wearer over here.
@AmazonRedheadedUberVixen: I don't know...I've been wanting this [www.refinery29shops.com] forever and it has hearts all over it!!
@AmazonRedheadedUberVixen: I don't know, after four college years in Boston ANY Tiffany's jewelry screams "snotty BU student" to me. (No, I didn't go there.)
@BiscuitDoughJones: Ms. Caftan is actually Margherita Missoni. Funnily enough she probably designed it herself. (i.e. had some vague idea for a dress and told her design team to make it.)
@petuniacat: True it is more timeless. Alas, I no longer wear silver jewelry.
@elitza: HAHA. I am also wearing the Express Editor pants in dark denim from a coupla years back.
@petuniacat: Well my girlfriend's got me this one [www.tiffany.com] for my 21st b-day because we all thought it was less cliche.
This goes against everything I believe by saying it BUT: does it strike anyone else that Jade Jagger is a little, um, "free-loving??" I've always gotten that vibe...
@CatOTO: I wasn't cool enough to embrace grunge when it rolled around the first time (I was uptight and nerdy in middle school and thought it looked "gross.")
@GirlLegal29: No no I don't think North Face is out it's just that certain colored NF's can definitely date you (and there was a time in the 90's when they were de rigeaur.)
I wonder if Seinfeld sent the shoes to Opes sort of as a Freudian thing because she had buried guilt about possibly copying?
I definitely think ballet flats are too classic to be considered a trend. Didn't Audrey wear them?
@elitza: Uggs are reasonable if you are in the appropriate climate. I think they just get a bad rap because ladies insist on wearing them with mini's and tank tops in warm weather.
@vivresavie17: Yes all the populars wore those ugly-ass shoes! WTF up with that??
