It’s probably because a lot of your comments sound spectacularly tone deaf? And the overworking is not just an american thing.

Really? You’re first off going to snark at someone for their reading comprehension, utterly fail with your own (the Onion reference was in the first paragraph so no one buys your “I didn’t read the entire article”, also seriously why are you commenting if you didn’t read?) and then bust out some b.s. about test…
No? To Kill a Mockingbird was narrated as the events occurred. Go Set a Watchman is older Scout coming back and dealing with her father being not all her young idealized mind cracked him up to be (and possible other interpretations). Go Set a Watchman is also narrated as being in the character’s present, but more then…
No. To Kill a Mockingbird is Scout as a child. Go Set a Watchman is Scout as an adult.
I’m mostly a lurker on both reddit and jez, but I really like my reddit kitten videos. And the documentaries!
No I said they didn’t fight as hard. Imagine reinstituting thimerosal in the US vs. accepting it as safe worldwide. There was plenty of fight from 1st world anti-vaxxers, but not the kind of scream-fest you’d expect in say the tiniest county of California. As for trying to deal with irrational people by giving into…
Science doesn’t back you up. See links at the bottom. Thimerosal was also phased out based off of the EPA’s limits for methyl mercury (which has a totally different pharmacokinetic profile, I can’t even, my god the releases from ~16 yrs ago are awful and have no data to back them up).
Nah, the FDA shouldn’t have given into them. It’s interpreted as weakness. After all if you can change the science about this, why not anything else?
Your campaign to remove non-harmful doses of substances from childhood vaccines that aren’t even in there any longer is doing its work!
Now stop dicking around on the internet. Or a kitten dies.
Well then let the profanities flow!
My sister though got a copper IUD and that was months of awful bleeding.
Beating yourself up doesn’t help though. You just make yourself more stressed and anxious. Go for a run, eat some ice cream, pet a cat, give your brain some love (it works hard for you!). You’re awesome and super smart and will get this done.
*edit, sorry didn’t see that you already addressed this. I’m useless. :( *
Agreed. My skin is in danger of crawling away...
I find it creepy that your response to this isn’t “if we educate people (esp. women) and give them access to cheap birth control then birth rates naturally plummet and in most cases barely reach parity” and is instead “hey let’s take away all their rights to their reproductive system”. Because one of those options is…
I really hope you’re grandstanding, because forced sterilization happens all the time and it’s horrible. So as presumably a person who doesn’t think politicians telling you when you can and can’t have an abortion is a good idea, why don’t you get out of other people’s vaginas/vans deferens? Reproductive rights are…
And you know what’s a proven, great way to reduce the number of children a woman has without kidnapping her and sterilizing her against her will? Educating her and her partners, then offering and empowering them with free/cheap birth control. It really is that easy. And doesn’t involve being a horrible person who…
Those are important stipulations. Still disagree with letting children starve...
