I don’t understand why highway on-ramp right of way seems to vary state by state. In Illinois, the rule taught by drivers ed and detailed in our “Illinois Rules of the Road” is that the merging car has the right of way. It makes so much sense as the on- driver can much more easily see the car merging and better gauge

Drove one a few years back. The front seats are too claustrophobic and that center console is too tall. I was hoping it would have a more spacious interior as electric cars are supposed to ride on a skateboard like chassis thus removing the need for a large center console.

On especially cold and wet days, the drivers door latch on my 2011 MINI Cooper does not allow my door to close completely. Close the door too hard and it doesn’t close, too soft and it doesn’t close. You need to close it just right. Spring is on the way, so it will go away soon. Until next winter comes along...

Not sure how I feel about KIA’s long term reliability. My mom’s 2013 Sorento just had the crankshafts bearings fails at 174k. My wife’s 2015 Soul engine will buck and shake for about 30 seconds at startup when sitting more than two days on a cold night. Dealer says it’s the bearings but we can’t do anything until the

What about the bench seats with no seat belts? Will those ever be updated?

It’s always been front wheel drive

5th Gear: I’m not sure about this whole ‘clean hydrogen’. While it’s true that hydrogen fuel cells produce electricity very efficiently and only produce water as a byproduct, the hydrogen required to the run the fuel cells comes from the same fossil fuels we need to avoid.

To be fair, Michigan City has incredibly clean beaches and water.

2nd Gear: Probably one of the only DACA recipients on this site but I had something similar happen when I was buying my first car. I went to buy a used MINI in 2015 and attempted to get financed through the MINI dealer. They also asked for my social security card and work permit. After some time, they came back and

I can only imagine what that brake fluid has done to the system sitting for more that 20 years. It looks filthy. Or has brake fluid formulation changed a lot in 20 years?

Am I the only one who was taught to only cross when the arms have risen completely and when the lights stop flashing?

I saw the PBS post-debate online. Was it not broadcast on TV?

That’s true in almost all states. I believe Illinois is the only state that puts 100% of the responsibility on the car on the highway to let the merging car in. But it still doesn’t mean you should merge at 10-15 MPH below the flow of traffic.

Someone’s gotta tell them to focus on his hands more. Sure he’s “The Reassembler” but I want to see what he’s assembling!

Just watched a video of someone taking a video of a video, at least it was in landscape.

Where do you keep getting these photos of loose VW emblems? It feels like its been a completely different one on each article.

Definitely miss the van! My family has had a 1998 Astro since we moved to the US in 2001. This winter it died on us during a three hour trip back home from my university. Unfortunately, too much is required to get the car back into a reliable condition. It is now sitting in our driveway waiting to be scrapped. We've
