I've been looking for a replacement for AstoundSound Stereo Expander, a app that produces a wider stereo image. It hasn't been compatible with OS X for several years and the company is no longer developing the product. I enjoyed the effect while listening to music played on my Mac and Bose speakers.

A "free" app that requires a payment so it can actually work? No Thanks- I'm not going to support a developer using that business model... I'm happy to pay for apps that I value but this one just rubs me the wrong way...

I suppose if I had a bad cold and was blowing my nose a lot I would consider using lotion tissues. But for everyday use I don't see the point... The least expensive tissues in square boxes (which I like because they fit into more locations...) that I have found is Essential Everyday Soft and Strong. It's the

Many people do not need the latest and greatest DSLR. Pro photographers may need to upgrade more often (our gear generally sees a lot more use and it can be a good investment to upgrade if a new feature/improvement gives you a leg-up on the competition). But hobbyists? They can enjoy a DSLR for years if they don't

For a number of years I have been using Orbicule's Witness, a Mac app that turns a video cam (built-in or connected to a computer) into a motion-sensitive security camera. At only $40 and no subscription fee for recordings, it is the poor-man's security system. It also protects your Mac from theft wherever there is

I think that all computers should have a pre-configured "I'm At My Local Cafe Surfing The Web/Please Keep Me Safe!" setting that only requires a single click. It would be an easy thing for operating system designers to locate such a thing in the Dock, Finder Menu Bar and equivalent locations on a Windows PC. Clicking

When I enter the first command in Terminal I get this: Error: no such table: LSQuarantineEvent Any idea why and what I can do about it?

If you are thinking of buying that bag you better act quickly because it has been discontinued by the manufacturer. There is at least one online retailer (RadTech) that still has it; follow the link in the article and then click the "Buy Now From Online Partner" button.

One benefit of using Eneloops that I rarely see mentioned is that they provide very fast camera flash recycle times.

The book never loaded when I was using Safari. When I tried Firefox it immediately loaded... I didn't try disabling my Safari extensions but I wouldn't be surprised if one or more of them might have been preventing the book from loading properly.

As of Saturday 9-27-14 at 10:30am PDT Launcher is not available from the U.S. App Store.

Contact the app developer with your idea... You may discover that he/she agrees with you and the feature will be added in a future update.

Quick-dry underwear and similar clothing can be washed in a sink and hung to dry. You can easily get by with a couple of undershorts if you don't mind spending ten minutes every evening washing underwear, socks, etc. Just be sure that your lodging doesn't mind; some hotels frown on the practice.

I wouldn't call Apple's earbuds crappy... they are "adequate." And they fit comfortably in my ears too. I use mine a lot while working outdoors so I wear out a pair every six months or so; the volume slowly gets lower and lower until they are no longer loud enough to compete with ambient noise.

So if I want to read the referenced article I will need to pay $45? I'd appreciate seeing that important detail noted alongside the link so I don't waste my time in the future...

I'd appreciate it if articles like this one made it clear in the headline or first paragraph which operating system is required. I had to click the "Nova Launcher" link to discover that this is for Android smartphones.

I have to agree with PickleJFrog here: you have a responsibility to use an accurate illustration for your article. If you don't want to take the time to locate an appropriate image (there are photo sources other than Flickr...) don't use a photo or omit the section on whiskey.

Just a satisfied customer...I signed-up for Orbicule's Undercover when the "company" was one very young Belgian developer. It's come a long way in the past four years.

According to The Da Vinci Code (the movie...) lemon is appropriate for Earl Gray; milk (an possible sugar) is for other black teas.
