You need a cosmetology license before you can enter a salon apprenticeship, at least in the US. I apprenticed in a high end salon years ago. I spent a certain amount of time assisting and a certain amount of time in classes.

She admits to being an alcoholic and drug addict who went to rehab and her older children and friends/family…
