No, don’t do that! I’d be out of a job!

Given that most school districts have to have dozens of committee meetings before authorizing a thousand bucks for textbooks that include the current count of planets or the latest names for the countries north of Greece, how is losing $2.3 million in three transactions even possible?

Misspelling, grammatical error and wrong formatting in a scam are most probably intended.

Keith Urban is an Australian that has been accepted as “real country”. Proving that “country” is just cosplaying and mimicking a drawl that white folk think is “country”.

He knows he’s a one-hit wonder. He’s embraced it. He’s going to enjoy the fuck out of it.

I would argue that SoftBank was part of the grift and unfortunately the con fell apart before they got their payoff.  How could SoftBank not be aware of the realities (when comparing IWG and WeWork)?

Exactly - everyone (including these workers) want to be “in tech” at a “start up” that is going to be sexy and make them boat loads of money. When they all realize how ridiculous this crap was they want people to feel sorry for them lmao

Being a tech company means you get blanket immunity from regulation, scrutiny, due diligence, and basic skepticism. I’m surprised oil and coal and hardrock mining and finance companies haven’t re-branded as tech companies yet.

A non-compete in a severance seems extra shitty (and probably extra unenforceable, compared to the regularly un-enforceable non-competes running around out there on the regular).

It is one of if not the most impressive grift I have seen. Neumann took SoftBank to the cleaners and managed to get billions out of a worthless company. In most of these stories the founder walks away without a ton of money since his worth is tied up in the success of the company. Somehow Neumann managed to not only

Bloomberg’s dissection of WeWork has stats compared to IWG, another similarly sized coworking space company. IWG has more square foot, members, locations, countries, and revenue... while WeWork has $1.9B in losses and $44B more valuation.

I can never figure out why people keep missing the thing right in front of their face. What we're seeing now ($8 billion valuation, that is most likely really $6 bil) is absolutely the best case scenario for a company like WeWork.

No wonder why they branded themselves as a tech company instead of something to the effect of a commercial real estate subletter. Everybody wants to be in tech.

Nothing. But it still astounds me that previous politicians have had their entire legacies defined by the kind of gaffes and deliberate behavior that Trump does every single day.

let us say that he did, 100% with no doubt....what the fuck is anyone actually going to do about it?

If they have legitimately found this girl’s birth mother and have confirmed her real age, my next question is - what about the doctor who legally attested to the fact that she was a grown woman? I realize it’s not that hard to find shady MDs who will say what you want them to say, but shouldn’t he be looked into? If

The story was full of holes to begin with and sounded like western parents doing a sketchy foreign adoption and deciding to abandon the child when she became inconvenient for them.

do you ever feel the impulse to try and justify this style of blogging when your story aggregation ends up being totally fucking wrong?

You’re doing great giving people with disabilities a home with that image. Thanks for that!

Anyone who bought that Natalia was actually an adult with the full mental capabilities of an adult who was hurting this poor, loving, Christian family can see themselves out. The only source of the original DAILY MAIL article was the adopted mother who bought this child on the black market in the first place. It
