OK, I’m not crazy on this. Yahoo has a thorough article on this.

OK, I see your point, but insurance companies have figured out complex coverage arrangements that are beyond the knowledge of laymen (ie. you and me).

How about this question though: wouldn’t the construction company/restoration company need insurance to take on this job?

Am I being obtuse? Or isn’t this structure insured? Why does restoration have to come from private donations? Shouldn’t the Catholic church be ponying up the money for restoration?
???

Tell me about it...I was so chafed when Joe Carter was bounced from the ballot after one year. Probably not worth induction, but worth having the conversation.

I have this breadmaker. I think it’s very serviceable model, especially for under $50. It’s easy to keep clean, the coating on the pan has help up very well.

Did this rink have ashtrays available mid-sheet? Did they have corn brooms to try out?

You get the flu because you have small kids. The flu vaccine offers some protection, but nothing can make up for the filth of small children who spend their days in the company of other disease matrices at elementary school, day care, etc. This is like living in a toilet and wondering why you smell like shit.

These garbage people are why those virus/germ/zombie apocalypse scenarios are believable. The horror of it is, clean people will be the most likely to survive, but we will also be the least likely to want to live in a wrecked world with no functioning water treatment plants.

Hi Eleanor,

Today, I announced a new Executive Order with re: to North Korea. We must all do our part to ensure the complete denuclearization of #NoKo.

I always read everything he writes in Samuel L Jackson’s voice, so I was utterly shocked.

But what did all the enlightened people DO during Obama’s terms? When he was struggling against all these same GOP fuckers, for the majority of his two terms, where were the progressive folk turning up at town halls and running reps and senators out of office?

People don’t believe it because America’s favorite ‘alternate history’ stories are the ones it tells its school children.

Turner Ward?!? Haven’t thought of him since the 90s when he was on the Jays. I remember him taking big hacks and hitting around .230 as the 8th or 9th outfielder — I would never dream of him as a major league hitting coach

Nah, this is Juggalo appropriation

Oh, great - this school is only a few blocks away from my home. Thanks for the heads up, internet! I guess I can rest easy knowing that I’m not a teenage girl, but man will it be awkward when I run into her at the local marche Provigo.

I still brag to friends about how I got a $200 Henkels bread knife for $3 when Linens and Things shut down. Best knife in the house by far.

I finished reading James Loewen’s Sundown Towns shortly before the election and I was blown away. I have been referencing it in every conversation I’ve had for the last four months because it explains exactly how the US changed course after the Civil War and plunged into full on white-supremacy in the 1890s. It

The rest of his life will definitely be fucked. The people he cares most about, the New York elite, will shun him after he’s left office because he’s fucked up life for them in Manhattan. He’ll be a pariah forever.
