We were half-assedly shopping before this all went down but since the outbreak we have put that on hold. Even though one of the cars has 220k on it, its very reliable and safe. That was the one we wanted to replace, mainly because another car is climbing fast and I don’t want 2 loans at once. We both have secure jobs

“I have a family and I know you would do anything to protect yours. I like you and I like the cut of your jib. I’ll throw in the microbe resistant door handle covers at no charge. Whattayasay?”

“Hey Bob! Can you believe this guy doesn’t want the virus protection?”

You know it’s coming.....”will you be taking the extra virus protection coating?  it only adds $13 a month!”

It’s insane how many businesses and even large corporations seem to be surviving paycheck to paycheck.

I can wish. Though the proverb, I can wish in one hand and shit in another and see which one fills faster” applies here.

You realize they are doing nothing of the sort. If anything they are devising ways to make their CVT less exciting.

This baby’s got literally” *slaps hood* “trillions of germs all over every surface!”

Maybe they should partner with Toyota and Subaru for a new 86 that everyone can get a piece of. A Nioybaran GZFR486

I can’t imagine anyone WANTING to buy a car right now with all the uncertainty. I’m lucky enough to have a very secure job, money in the bank, etc., but no WAY am I spending a penny that I don’t have to for the foreseeable future. But if you can do the deal online, sure, why not sell a few cars if you can?

Who the fuck is panic buying cars???

1st gear: I can’t blame them for trying, but I think this might be about as ‘essential’ as GameStop trying to stay open. It’s not a request, really, to provide essential services. It’s a ploy to stay open since even a short term stoppage will put them out of business.

I can see a genuine argument being made for their

That argument became moot the moment the manufacturers decided they weren’t going to be shipping parts anymore.

Compared to a surface covered in coronavirus, car salesman don’t seem all the dirty all of a sudden.

I don’t think they are ESSENTIAL, however they do exist in an environment where doing the whole “social distancing” thing or whatever they a call it is pretty easy to accomplish, outside of a test drive of course. We are in a position where there is no GOOD answer for all parties involved. Ideal world close stuff down

5th Gear: Hopefully Nissan is using this downtime to design a Z people want. Straight 6, and a manual transmission. And maybe smaller, the current one is bloated like a dead elephant..

I believe 4189lbs for the Trailblazer is the GVWR, whereas the 2906-3150lbs reported for the HR-V is curb weight.

I don’t think he has the right weight for this...the current Blazer, which is confusingly larger than the new Trailblazer, is less than 4000 lbs in its lightest trim.

Somewhere in the obscurity bin. At this point I only recognize 4 cars from Chevy:

I believe its between the Equinox and the Trax
