Or are they devoted because there has been nothing to compete with the Wrangler? I think a lot of people will want something to differentiate themselves from all the billions of wranglers floating around these days.

Same guy just posted a pic of the 2 door in the same thread:
So its looking more and more like this thing is going to be Ford’s Wrangler. Too little too late. Which mean this thing could fall on its face and be a dude. That market is a tough nut to crack. Everyone that wanted a vehicle like this has a Jeep (or an old FJ or Land Cruiser or something) and are devoted as hell.
Looks are subjective and yet you are objectively wrong
You and I are clearly on different wavelengths. My reaction upon seeing the image was an enthusiastic “I don’t hate it!”
Downvote booooo hissssss
Going to the other end of it, if you could somehow turn the last gear (you can’t, not enough force in the universe even if the machine didn’t explode first) so it was making one turn an hour, the tenth to last gear would be exceeding the speed of light before you even considered the other 90 gears!
This is a very similar device to Arthur Ganson’s Machine with Concrete, exhibited in the MIT Museum for over a decade:
Ah! The Mayan calendar for archeologists 4 thousand years from now. :)
Still moves faster than the line at the DMV.
#COTD right here.
I’ll do one better: Unnecessary, but fine.
You’ve distilled the essence of every product revision reaction into a taut five sentences and 30 words (fudging, split one of those contractions to make it even). I applaud you.
I hate it. But I’ll get used to it. In fact, it’s sort of an improvement. Actually I prefer it. The next one after this will be terrible, surely.
Everything is going flat again and retro-simple. Go back to the 1963 version - no need to reinvent the wheel. Losing the black ring gives the logo less impact. This is just change for change’s sake and not for any good reason. Just read that stupid PR-quote to confirm that. Of course all the German cars I buy are 20+…
Between this, the Ferrari Roma, and the stillborn Bugatti Atlantic concept... are we returning to an age of the Grand Touring Coupe? Can I please get one that is within the realm of affordable, though, please... even with a TENTH as much high-design as these cars?
It’s called - and I am 100% not kidding - “Desert Smoke”.
Yep... with $999,999.95 in destination charges....
If you truly want to blow my mind, tell me it’s coming to a dealer near me starting at $39,900.
