I think you’re really underestimating how stressful and rage-inducing it would be to drive to those “general area” parking lots, not to mention what you’d pay for parking.

I walked everywhere when I went to NYC this summer. It was the stupidest decision possible (other than driving). Stayed in Brooklyn, walked to Manhattan every day, covered way more ground than my feet could handle.

I’ve lived in much larger, and much smaller cities than NYC. I’ve also lived in NYC. It’s sad to me that people refuse to travel and see the world because of their preconceived notions.

You won’t walk everywhere, unless you stick to midtown. NYC (even Manhattan) is huge, and the subway is the best way to get around.

I’m a crazy person and my favorite part of big cities is figuring out the public transportation. Last week on my second trip to NYC I took a bus from Laguardia to a subway then walked to Grand Central to get a train and it was a soothing experience putting it all together to get to my destination.

This. Public transit is a foreign concept to me and I don’t want to stress myself out trying to figure it out on vacation. In all likelihood if I ever visit NYC I will drive my own car there and pay for expensive parking somewhere in the vicinity of places I would like to visit, and walk.

People in LA don’t think about the rest of the world.

How’d he go 27 hours without playing Lacrosse?

That’s Berkeley Chadwick VI to you, peasant

I would expect Berkeley Chadwick to be driving no less than an AMG Merc. Bonus points to his parents being the titled party.

No. They finished this run last month. Ed Bolian and his crew set the record that was broken six years ago.

Statutes of limitations. Thats why they aren’t reported right away. They waited 6 years to announce this.

Waiting for the statute of limitations to expire. It was done in 2013, but only released this year.

I promise this wasn’t me.

They waited until after the statutory limits have expired?

I love this so much...

The result was a trip average speed of 103 mph, with a max speed of 193 mph.

Here! A subway car with rubber wheels roaming around for you.

I lived in NYC for 21 years and took the subway for at least 8 of those years, on a near-daily basis. Odd work hours mean nothing because a giant chunk of the population in NYC work odd hours. I worked open to close shifts at a movie theater, starting at like 10-11am and ending at like 1am, and the trains were STILL

The readers should come at odd times, so Kinja doesn’t break even further.
