To be fair, Gone With the Wind was removed and then returned with cultural context later. These other removals might follow a similar pattern, it’s just that they need time to add in the context and they don’t want to leave themselves open to criticism by leaving the episode up while they work on that.

It’s more that I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt. I do not like mob mentality, especially in a case like this.

Coming from the other side, I have a biological father who, for his own reasons, has denied our kinship in public to people on several occasions, all involving money, none (to my knowledge) to protect me from any kind of harm.

I have given birth to none. I have fostered seven in my home. I have financially supported two Africans throughout their childhood. I am auntie to none by blood, I am auntie to at least 10 otherwise. I have pics of Japanese, Ethiopian and Caucasian kids on my mantel right now. But I take great care NOT to elevate

“We’re back. Ready for round 2!” I loved this movie and I loved this soundtrack. 1999-2000 were about the happiest years of my life, in retrospect. I was a college sophomore, just the right age to have my mind blown by this movie. Maybe it would come off as a bit silly nowadays, but watching it, dissecting it with my

Pic? Link?

I love this movie so much - probably a top 5 for me precisely because it’s such a strange mess that’s clearly someone putting their subconscious love of narrative songs on film. This movie was also the first time I really paid attention to the delightful John C. Reilly after seeing him in side parts in The River Wild &

You’re absolutely right, and I apologize for the insensitivity of my remark.

To the guy who says “Lots of other tracks use them”:

I wish we could stop making fun of people for thier teeth when we have so many other things to call them out for. I’m thirty, as liberal as you can get, and have less than half my teeth left. I’m not a meth user of any sort, I never neglected my teeth at all, but I do have a seemingly inherited problem that causes

NASCAR before the COVID messed with their season was facing problems.  A lot of fans were complaining about rule changes they made. I’ve watched plenty of races and they used to show the stands and infield but they stopped doing that.  This stuff with Bubba is a mess.  I saw a picture of it and it’s plainly a noose.

Here’s your apology, Alabama:

Dismissing a noose as a “forgettable oddity” doesn’t make the point he thinks it does.

We are also tired of trying to convince white people who won’t be convinced. Or the whites that allow misunderstandings like this to harden their hearts. I remember a quote from Larry Wilmore on how to detect if someone is full of it “people demand evidence for the obvious then expect you to swallow the preposterous”.

For the life of me I never understood why they never made a sequel to this movie and called it “Conditioner”

You specifically said, “How does it take a person 19 years to figure out they were raped?”

The world may never know...

Not even that. The best wrestler we’ve ever elected President, hands down, would be Abraham Lincoln. Literally, this was how people in Illinois entertained themselves in the 19th century, yet by the time he was in his 30's, nobody would wrestle the guy, because he was known to be both incredibly experienced and inhuman

It’s a wrongful death suit. The lawyer who took it believes the payday is at the end of the trial. If not, the family is going to be in debt to him for a while.

The USA creates systems that employ psychos who kill whomever they want and then protects them. I don’t understand why.
