I am blissfully unaware of any freakout over mad max. I tried to watch it on cable and fell asleep a half hour in. It's still on my DVR, so maybe I'll pick it up later. I was surprised it was nominated for best picture - sci-fi action movies rarely are. Other than that, I know nothing about any controversy.

So, then by your criticism of my view, am I wrong to presume you at least endorse the SJW movement on college campuses, social media and elsewhere?

Key and Peele are very self referential and self-deprecating. different animal. Blazing Saddles was one black man being called n****r for an hour and a half by old white men.

with respect, "Invariably it's conservatives who are offended because things are being said that they can't get away with saying, because they have no concept of context. No liberals are offended by Mel Brooks."

I believe you're speaking from the point of view of a generation or more ago. With SJW and safe spaces being big these days, kids are less inclined to forgive racial humor without being given the appropriate trigger warnings. I explained it to my very liberal son (he is a Bernie volunteer) that was the point of the

I really loved this episode and the satire of Every Other Jim Carrey Comedy Ever Made was spot on. And it was great to see Holling from Northern Exposure in the Real Leap Day William role. Which reminds me - when is AVC going to retro that great series?

SCREW THE COEN BROTHERS…. oh, wait… I'm sorry.

and help the people, the thing that happened, happened to.

Take a leap, reach deep down inside… Just give a kidney, to a father or a dad. we hear it really doesn't hurt that bad.

yeah, that must explain it for me. I quit after 3. oh well.

watched the first 3 or 4 eps and bailed. not interested.

that's the first thing I thought of after reading the headline.

I was never much of a fan, but I've had to watch the movie dozens of times because every woman I've ever known loved that movie more than diamonds. it must be a generational thing. I'm old.

" or Grape Ape speaking out against climate change and its effects on the world’s vineyards, stay tuned!"

but it's a paradox. you'd have to be high as a kite to think it was a good idea.

I can't bring myself to care about what russian communists think, nor who objects or approves of anything leo does. In fact, halfway through that sentence, I wondered aloud, what the hell are you doing commenting? and yet, I continued. I must be bored.

He fully admits it was a 'dick and fart' joke movie and I enjoyed it on that level. I never considered it, nor did I expect, high art. Outside of Chasing Amy, it's when Smith tries the highbrow stuff like jersy girl is when he loses me. He is what he is.

so long and thanks for all the fish.

me too, but then I've always been a Smith and Adams fan. lowbrow, highbrow, whatever, they both make me happy. the whole HHG universe, if given it's proper due, would kick star wars universe's ass all over the galaxy.
