This thing is in my dream garage.

So when I was growing up, something like a Ferrari 355 was considered a performance car and an F50 was a supercar. Time moved on, performance got better, the 355's descendants naturally were significantly faster (as were the F50's).

So the MU-X was more popular as the Chevy Trailblazer here. It didn’t really catch on here tbh. It’s great off-road though. One of the friends that told me to avoid the X-Terra replaced his Wrangler with one, and finds it much more suited to his purposes. He mainly chose it because Chevy had heavily discounted it, so

Every time I see a thread like this, I think of the Mitsubishi Pajero in the UAE. That’s what this dude needs (and honestly Jalopnik needs to write something on how this car still exists).

In the UAE it’s still called X-Terra (they’ve added a hyphen though), because the Xterra name still has a ton of value out here. Clean used ones are always in-demand, and plenty of people bring in used ones from the US as well.

I was talking about this with my friends a few weeks back, and the first idea I threw out there was Brawn’s only season in F1. Though I think a Netflix documentary special would be better than a fictional remake.

This thing needs a Toyota Echo interior. It just feels like it fits.

My family had a very different experience. My dad promised himself a BMW when he retired, so a month after he did, he sold his Accord and went shopping. Ended up with a C-Class because he just didn’t think the 3/4/5-series felt nearly as luxurious or as special to him (this is purely based on what the cars felt like

Not sure I agree. I’m not up-to-speed with the EQ line-up, but the regular Mercedes range, from the A all the way up to the S, looks AND feels more premium than anything from the competition. They’ve nailed the whole first-impression thing.

A warmed-up version of the Kia Soul. That’d be awesome. Not even full-on hot hatch, just a warm one. Think something like a Fiat Panda 100HP. Enough HP to feel brisk, manual, and some handling tweaks to make it fun (not enough to turn it into a track weapon).

Yeah, I remember enthusiasts getting all hyped about the Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type V Version S RB5 22B Sprinkles Edition...so I’m not really phased by these names. What did you expect a car of the future to be called? We grew up with sci-fi names like C3PO and R2D2.

You know, I a time where everyone thought supercomplex names on Japanese cars cool because it was JDM. I think this was pretty much exclusive to forbidden fruit models though.

Oh shit. I JUST bought my mom’s 2014 Elantra Coupe off her...then I read this.

I think that’s why the Fit is your favorite car. BECAUSE you’ve owned Cadillacs...

That was a joke. I’ve only ever driven one Cadillac in my life, and it was wonderful.

1991 Subaru J10. It was my grandfather’s car, and it was terrible in every way other than the stunning shade of green he got it in.

I dunno, I kinda dig it.

Also HHRs are rad. Give me an SS.

Was the Altima actually a bad car? You may not like the demographic, but it was supposed to be pretty competitive for its class, right? I remember it looking good too for the time.

The Mini 5-door.

I do not live in America. I just checked the Ford US website to get details on the Maverick. It absolutely blew my mind that the EcoSport starts at $22k there. Holy shit. I get it, it’s probably specced better than a lot of the third world markets it’s sold in, but I can’t get my head around the fact that it’s still
