So umm, how does one go about getting permission to write on Live and Let Die Cast? I’ve got a ton of cool cars to share from my new collection. I call it new, because my parents got rid all of my old stuff, and I had to start fresh a couple of years back.

The Gallardo and 370 changes were too insignificant for me to care. I don’t think the McLaren or Aston (the Rapide facelift actually looks terrible in photos, but great in real life).

Is it strange that this makes me want to own a 355 even more?

Thanks dude, it was super helpful talking to you. I’m going to give the J70 and 80 a test-drive, and if all else fails, I’ll just stick to a UN-spec 100.

I thought the ML in The Lost World was great. I can testify that the stock car had enough off-road ability to be credible in a role like this. Also, in retrospect, the first-gen ML looks positively rugged.

I’ve only ever driven the J100, and was pleased with the refinement ability mix, but thought it was missing the rugged aesthetic of previous generations. I like the 80 series, but what are your thoughts on the J70?

I was actually thinking about buying an HJ60 as a daily-driver once I move to another country, but was concerned about comfort levels. Wifey’s got a minor back-problem, and is constantly complaining about the ride comfort in my GT86, and this is in the UAE where roads are generally pretty smooth. Never mind where

Apparently the very first McLaren MP4-12Cs had some trick door handles as well. It was such a pain point for owners, that they eventually ditched them. I’ve heard of people trading them in for later models just to get rid of the issue.

I always thought that generation of Land Cruiser was a big car. It’s tiny next to a Ford F???, and looks about the same size as the Tacoma to the left.

For me, one of the great mysteries of production cars is the Audi TT Clubsport. I never realized there was a concept, I was shocked when it made production, and have never read anything about it since it launched.

The most generic picture, of the most generic-looking car ever made.

My defense.

I love the SC430. Feel free to hate me.

The 156 Sport Wagon was such an achingly beautiful car. I heard it actually had less trunk space than the sedan. No fucks are given at Alfa when it comes to making beautiful cars (or at least that used to be the case).

Is it weird that I think the single greatest about your Skyline is the MD player? A couple of my friends had them in middle school, those things were awesome.

My father-in-law still has an immaculately-maintained Kia Pride (same thing). It’s great how awful everyone thought it was when it launched, but now it’s “light, minimalist, and utilitarian.” I love it.

In my experience, the first-gen, sub-2.0 Mazda 3 takes some beating (remember the smaller engines had a different steering rack). I owned one from ‘05 to ‘10, and it was a beautiful thing to drive. Actually, what got met to finally realize how horrible my Peugeot 207 RC was (and sell it), was a back-to-back drive with

I’m glad it has indicators.

Echoing the sentiments of many here. I’d skip the aesthetic mods, and go straight for the tune. I’d make sure I got a model that didn’t have the “swipe-to-open” doors as well.

I’ve heard the biggest difference was actually the “swipe to open” doors. They were on the earliest 12Cs, and an absolutely bitch. It’s so painful to swap these out that some early owners traded-in for later model cars just to get rid of this issue.
