I've always routed for the underdog. If a car got too dominant, I read issue after issue of my favorite car magazines, waiting for the king to be overthrown. The M3 was one such car. It's still such a car. There are two cars I remember pulling off this feat. One was the B7 RS4, which everyone will remember, and post

It was an attempt. It was forgotten by the masses because it was never a credible threat, and was actually awful. I believe a tuner had to do a "rescue kit" for it, which turned it into something half decent (and that no self-respecting Viggen owner will be caught without).

I'm genuinely curious about the X6M. I think someone needs to buy one, and tell us why the hell it exists. Is it absolutely brilliant, but enthusiasts can't get past the donor car? Or is it as crap-tastic as the styling would have us believe?

No Doug, did you learn nothing from Chris Harris? Now you'll never be able to get within 10 feet of a a Ferrari again. Didn't they send you their full team of mechanics for a year?

They should sell this as a conversion kit in the UAE. It'll go down EXTREMELY well. If there's two things they love out here, it's pick-ups and Range Rovers.

I don't support the CT naming scheme for two reasons. 1) Audi & Infiniti were heritage-less brands IMO. I wish Cadillac would bring back some classic name plates. It just screams American luxury to me. 2) Lexus already makes a CT. Is this not a problem in some way?

What about Toyota's Venza? Just curious. We don't get them out here in the UAE, and I saw plenty of motoring press calling it a "wagon" when it first launched, so I'm very intrigued by it (you're always interested in what you can't have).

I would've gone with the 850CSi over the i, and the Solstice Coupe GXP, over the Redline.

I happen to think mid-90s Quattroporte was the best-looking version they ever did. It was a sharp, clean design. It's like a well-tailored suit.

I could be alone here, but that is just gorgeous. I'd definitely get one of those.

Small correction, but red indicators seem to be legal in the Gulf countries as well. I've lived in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE and there are plenty of cars that have red indicators. Then again, I've heard the only requirement for a car to be street legal in the UAE is that there's some sort of indication (audio

Holy crap, that just made the XM even more awesome.

I used to live in Saudi Arabia, and the unofficial car throughout the country was without doubt the Yukon/Suburban/Tahoe. The below shape in particular:

Came here looking for this. It isn't the one I'd buy, but is the all-round best Porsche ever to go on sale? Damn straight.

Does anyone remember the original HRV? Don't think it was sold in the US, but it got rave reviews in the UK, but it never really sold well in the Middle East. It was a fun, and funky, sub-CRV CUV that was ahead of its time (as with so many Japanese cars of that time period).

The Hyundai Equus. There's something awesome/funny about that. Or the Kia Quoris.

It's time to take some more risks, rather than trying to be conservative. We already have Lexus for that.

That is the most adorable-looking car ever. I love it. I'll love it even more if it actually do off-road things.
