Reading the comments proves one thing: How in love people are with their opinions. Weight loss strategies are one thing I won't argue because no amount of science and critical thinking can counter firmly held beliefs "supported" by anecdotal evidence.
Best book on writing is not about the technical aspects at all. It's Stephen King's "On Writing," which melds his autobiography with a view inside the writer's mind, what it took to become a writer, what it takes to remain one.
@boarder2: True but for those with a good, varied diet, it's no issue and the iodine imparts an off flavor. For what it’s worth, I never use it.

@pentamom: If you use weight charts, check WAY early they are all geared higher temps.
To prevent salty gravy, rinse the bird after the brine. I now use dry-brining: Very little labor and equivalent results.

Has anyone found a good script or app to delete duplicate events? I don't have many, just a few. I tried a couple of duplicate deletion scripts that didn't work.
@jktechwriter: There is nothing you can't do with free or near-free alternatives but it's handy to have it all in one place and mostly, it works well without a lot of setup. Some of the alternatives require some fiddling around.
