@Qwertinsky: Ah, but they always look in your shoes for tacks and if they find one, aha!!

@kongjie: Not sure, but I think the issue is with Windows iTunes. Haven't tried it but I sure hear a lot of grumbles.

I guess you can draw enough pressure to be able to bike to somewhere you can get air. Then later, your first stop in the car is to get air.

@phoenix: re: "delegation doesn't always mean "I offloaded that work and shouldn't have to think about it anymore," although it would be nice if it did."

As an experienced manager, here are the two biggest problems delegators have. First is, as you said, doing it. My rule is when in doubt, delegate. I find I am pleasantly surprised at what can do well way more often than I am disappointed when someone fails to get it done.

@moe52: Oh. I missed the announcement about Evil Week. Now I get it. Duh.

No. Money is just money. It's a tool, a means to an end.

Let's see. How to Manipulate People, How to Pick a Lock, How to Crack a Wi-fi Password, how to induce medical mayhem.

@GitEm$teveDave: Yes. Although, searing in non-stick isn't a great idea anyway. For searing, use stainless or cast iron.

As an available source for software? Sure. But will they slowly tighten the noose until, like the iPhone, apps will only work if they come from the store?

@Jalean11: True, but it's only an issue if you get the pan so hot the non-stick breaks down, which happens at 660 degrees. In normal kitchen use, that happens if you leave the pan empty on a burner and forget it.

about:labs has never worked for me (Google Chrome for Mac, latest versions). I juts get a blank page. The new about:flags does the same.

@redfalcon: (g) You're not. First thing I did was to look through the comments to see if there were any wisecracks.

Sorry you can't talk about how to make popcorn without hearing from a popcorn snob:

@mark146: I agree. Totally great app!

Foam: I just have a problem with most applications, where it looks like spit.

@cc: Good link, thanks! That smash is different — it's while the patty is raw. No juice escapes and good pan contact is achieved.

I was all set to sound off. But it's Kenji. I don't argue with Kenji, Alton, McGee, Bittman, or Cook's Illustrated.

@SigmundTheSeaMonster: Iodized is not recommended. I don't even buy it. I read it affects flavor (but have not verified that myself). But if you have it, it will still do the brining job.
