Most of the bigger games have been ported, sure, but there’s still a ton of obscure games and hidden gems that have never and likely will never be released on any other system.

Even then, I’m still not sure it’s worth it. I think the hardware itself just isn’t up to the task of running PS1 games. Maybe it’ll be a decent NES/SNES/Genesis machine, but it’ll never be a good PS1 machine.

I mean, they were literally planning to give people exactly what they were asking for. It’s not really a comparable situation. If they were not allowed to say “it’s coming soon, please be patient,” then I’d understand it, but there’s no indication that there was anything stopping them from saying it. Instead they said

It came out on PS4 last year, but was re-released on PC, X1 and Switch this year.

2018 was also a great year for fan translations. Off particular note are the translations for Shin Megami Tensei if (the spiritual predecessor to the Persona series) and Metal Slader Glory (the last game HAL Laboratory self-published before Nintendo bought them).

If they literally just added the option to watch the anime in the menu for the DLC, it would be fine. But no, why put everything in the game when we can make our customers go out of their way just to figure out what’s going on?

If they had enough money to produce an anime to promote their DLC, how come they didn’t have enough money to make the rest of the DLC?

I often find that the people saying “SJWs are always offended about everything” are just reading offense into innocuous comments. This is an article basically saying “here’s a weird thing in the new Big AAA Product™ ,” but these maroons are saying it’s about bodyshaming and privacy and all this other crap.

If they sell really, really well, then maybe. Unfortunately, the source code for Saga is lost, so it would be a lot more difficult to remake it than it would be for PD1&2. If sales aren’t great, they’re definitely not going to bother.

I’m pretty sure they had the void in Wii U/3DS also. I think it might be due to the post-Brawl games having an E10+ ESRB rating instead of T like Melee and Brawl.

There’s a lot to unpack in this thread.

They did it for Alita: Battle Angel.

I was unaware of who was publishing the game when I originally commented. The trailer did not directly mention a publisher or even the developer.

I will bet like $50 that this is gonna come to PS4/X1 at some point.

Also, consider that the game has a dynamic music system that changes the song depending on your style ranking. Creating an entirely new song would already be time-consuming, but re-coding a portion of the game to make it fit the music system would be even harder.

I actually like PUBG but even I admit you’re totally right. You spend a good 3/4 of every match just sitting in the corner of some house somewhere.

Why does that matter?

If it’s upscaling composite then there’s very little point to using this as opposed to just connecting to the TV with actual composite cables. I don’t know if this properly upscales 240p or treats it like 480i like so many other cheap scalers, but if it does, then it’s at least a slight improvement.
