in the 10+ years of using it, 75k+ a year i have yet to have a problem. its great, quick and just works.

I’ve heard some real horror stories with PayPal. I have literally never had a single problem with them. I’ve used them since the glory days of ebay, have a line of business cards with them, I have my whole family transfer cash to me via paypal for our phone lines. All these stories make me think I should move to

strap on the tinfoil hat.

Spec whores are the worst.

Cool, there was a phone in 2014 that had dual screens - one LED and one e-Ink? I must have missed that!

sleep tracking seems DOA, since pretty much everyone will need to take their watch off at night to charge it.

Apple early adopters = suckers

Just goes to show yet another perk that comes with the gold version: you know up front that it’s a horrible investment.

Of course you would...except that it’s not small, it isn’t autonomous, and it isn’t waterproof.

That’s like shopping for a commuter car and someone saying “I’d rather have a McLaren F1”. Good for you, you know what the expensive toy is. The rest of us like the idea of a simple device that does a simple job, simply.

Yes, a misleading title, followed by a blatant misrepresentation in the article.

I’ll vouch for Toyota. My 2004 RAV4 has only recently needed very minor repairs (replaced a couple of seals), still purring like a kitten after 187,000 miles. Change the oil, get all the scheduled maintenance, replace expendables like tires and fluids when you’re supposed to, and it just keeps on running. They can

Yea I’m not sure if the author is willfully misrepresenting the facts or just doesn’t understand whats going on.

As of now, 8% of the self-driving cars on the road in California have been in collisions, and the error was not human...

Article is a bit misleading. Almost implies all 4 are because of the computer system. However, 2 of them were because of HUMAN ERROR. The original article says. “Two accidents happened while the cars were in control; in the other two, the person who still must be behind the wheel was driving”

i don’t think is a high percentage, there were minor accidents in 4 of 50 cars of the type, you can’t compare that to the national statistics of accidentes also because as they said, people don’t report minor accidents. This just means that still have to understand how self-driving cars could work to keep us safe and

Wait, there were four accidents - but in 2 the machine was driving and in 2 the human was driving. We’re tied with the machines, in terms of safe driving, it would seem.

For accident rates to be of any value they should be rated by accidents per miles driven. Given that Autonomous cars are in heavy testing period driving lots of hours, they may actually not be crashing at a higher rate than any other car when ranked by mileage.

You simply cannot count the 2 where the people were driving. That’s 2 out of 50, and we have no idea how many miles they have covered.

Fight for it. There's no stopping 3d printing so you have to embrace this and move forward.
