He took a special class to learn how to do the Venetian plaster, and the class was not cheap. And doing it is a lot of work. It takes a long time. My husband didn't want to do it even for us, and he wouldn't even do the whole room—I got two walls in a smallish room. But, yeah, he's the man for doing it :)

I imagine Michelle Obama just makes this face and nothing needs to be said.

Aw. My favorite kitty ever was a big fat orange boy that had grown up in a prison (a medium-security one) that allowed inmates to have them. He was named Grandpa Big Head by his inmate person, who was in a wheelchair. Then the prison closed and all the kitties ended up in shelters. Grandpa Big Head was in the shelter

Cat-tica! Cat-tica! Cat-tica!

Why don't they keep them at the prison and let the inmates take care of them? I've heard other stories of prisons getting pets and it being very good therapy for the inmates by giving them responsibility for another life.

My husband does Venetian plaster. For real. I asked him if egg could totally ruin it and he said yes, depending on how long it sat on the surface. And it is really expensive to have done because it is really labor intensive. I asked if it could be $20,000 to fix, and he said yes, if the damaged area is large

No, it was at night. And dried egg is very hard to remove from even the 'toughest' of paints; Venetian plaster is not one of those things. It can also stain both wood and porous materials, and degrade varnish easily (without having to dry first). The shells are abrasive and can leave scratches. (People have been

I just love how people try to rationalize and explain away bad behavior i.e. How much damage could it do, it's just eggs? Who gives a fuck, do you want your shit jacked up by some asshole - NO! People are so busy trying not judge other peoples actions, they are really starting to sound stupid. Asshat broke the law,

UGH look at that stupid teen mustache.

It's based on an old wive's tale where people believed that the cat would smell the milk on the babies' breath and suffocate him or her.

Possibly, and that's a good thing! Pets are awesome for developing immune systems.

All fun and games until that baby gets its breath sucked out.

i had a tuxedo cat almost identical to this one, who acted just like this all the time. he was so sweet. this kitty obviously loves the baby.

Aw, kitty loves the baby.

There we go. I knew there was some crucial info missing from that article. Only 11 kids. A really small sample, but it's still sad that not even one of them was a girl. Makes me wonder if most of the kids were from a single all-boys private school that offered a class, or if those 11 kids were just super motivated

11 kids took the exam? That doesn't suggest a huge gender gap, it suggests a small sample size.

Only eleven Montana students took the test. With numbers that small, it was likely either home-schooled students or a single class at a all-boys private school.

11 kids took the exam in Montana. That suggests a huge gender gap, but it also suggests that there isn't any sort of widespread access to AP Computer Science courses in the state, let alone programs reaching out girls and students of color to encourage them to sign up.

Montana is like 88% white. Our largest minority group is Native Americans. Our population just recently broke one million. Statistically, this isn't surprising.
