No cookbook in BotW is that game’s biggest missed opportunity, IMHO. Imagine having to find a few dozen “rare recipes” from various locations. You’d collect clues from NPCs, books and posters, and other sources, and explore hidden locations to collect the needed ingredients. It could have been an expansive mini-game.

I don’t know if anyone agrees, but I really like Mystery Heroes. It’s a real low-stakes way to try out all the characters without anybody whining about who you picked, learn their strengths/weaknesses and find the hero(es) that feel most right to you.

Holy shit. If Coppola were not involved, I would have serious doubts about the wisdom of this endeavor. Of course it still could be total crap, and it’s possible Coppola’s influence could hamper the development since he’s never made a game before. But I’m very excited to see what he does working in this medium.

To be honest, that doesn’t bother me in the least. If $900k is the difference between this game being made and not being made then I am thrilled at the prospect of some great creative minds doing something new (by redoing something old)

Kickstarter is a way for indie companies to get investement money from the people they’re trying to sell to in order to actually fund the game. By the looks of the pictures, there’s alot of game already built. the 900K would be to finish things off. Making a game is expensive. And is a waste of money if nobody wants…
