I tried the one really big screen, and just found it to be a pain. I prefer 4 screen setup with something like display fusion to get individual task bars for each screen. its like having 4 separate pcs setup that are all controlled by the same keyboard and mouse.

also really comes in handy when using after effects and blender together

same here...programmer , need 3 screens. did the juggling for years, and just the other day upgraded to a 4 monitor setup. not sure if im faster, but deff not as frustrated trying to flick between apps lol
