From an outsider’s perspective, this entire merger seems like a disaster in the making. HBO Max currently has clearly the best streaming content of anyone and they want to add a bunch of rubbish reality TV from the Discovery channel and then prioritize the offerings from D+? Bonkers.

One day, I’d like to see “casual genitals” as a feature on the back of a game box that’s not inherently a sex game.

Maybe it has something to do with the ESRB. This might bump it up from “Mature” to “Adults Only”, which could harm sales.

Think it can affect the ESRB rating depending on how it is presented. Cyberpunk has fully rendered genitals but you can never see them during actual gameplay. They’re limited to the inventory menu, which doesn’t let you zoom in or adjust the camera’s yaw and a couple of cutscenes where you have zero camera control and…

Look, we’re just getting to the point where nipples are regularly being shown in games and animation, so society is gonna need a little more time to get used to casual genitals.

I’m not in it for the titillation, sometimes it bugs me that otherwise realistic games just kinda... pretend this stuff doesn’t exist. People have genitals! All the time! Even when they’re not being used for sexy stuff! Can’t we just accept that?

This whole thing is so silly. The game is already rated for nudity, so why is this a deal at all? Am I missing something? Like who’s the person who bought Witcher being shocked that a naked person has genitals?

Yeah, because programming takes ALL the talent, and can be basically summed up as memorizing a set of rules and parameters, then simply writing something within those parameters. Only those who have the capability of memorizing things can program.

So very sad.  Robots were supposed to take our jobs, not take our joys and hobbies.  Hey, no need to paint or write music anymore, go to work.  The robot will do all that for you.
