My current car's wheel has a thin pillar at 6:00, and that's annoying enough!

This thing just looks sooooo good — way better than the Futura that spawned it.

Argh! First the Malibu and now the Taurus! What is it with these thick center spoke in the steering wheel, right where I want to hold the wheel with my hand when I'm just lolling down a boring highway?

Sigh. Three shades of non-color, plus red, black, and that brown. Can I have one in blue? Yellow? C'mon!

Three, but one twice.

How many cars have I owned?

At one time or another, many of us will end up needing a mid-sized sedan for its room and utility, enthusiast or not, like it or not. So if Chevy can raise the styling bar with the 2012 Malibu, I say more power to them.

My childhood family owned a '74 Oleg Cassini. We all loved that car. It was like nothing else any of our friends drove. People knew us because of that car. But it's funny how my top two memories of it are:

I've always thought the Cosmo's derriere was delightful. But $8,000 is nosing into CP territory for me.

I grew up in South Bend, home of Studebaker, on a street named after Albert Erskine. I wonder if property values suffered after his suicide.

Since when is $23,830 cheap? I remember when you could get a truck for less than an entry-level car.

Why does that roofline kind of remind me of Grand Am? Boy, what a bad association.

I agree with the tall gearing. Anyone else with a 5-speed Matrix find that the clutch was terribly touchy in first gear?

I have the dual distinction (or is it misfortune, I can't always tell) to be both a mathematician/computer geek and a writer and editor. So I can say with some authority that you can use either "-ices" or "-ixes" as long as you are consistent within the document you're writing!

I have owned two Matrixes. My first was a 2003 base 5-speed, which I totaled 2 years ago (oops). I replaced it with a 2003 automatic XRS, which I still drive every day.

Whaddya know, a fully collapsible bike.

At least the add'l models might have had the Raymond Loewy touch.

Total, utter crack pipe.

I have always had a soft spot in my heart (or is it my head?) for this gen Malibu coupe. I'd love to find one in good nick and love her for the rest of my life. But not for 13 large.
