@macshome: Roadgeeks. I'm one. I do it from time to time, to record the road I'm exploring.
At least, the 70s is when I first saw it. In reruns, of course.
My dad owned a two-door '66 Galaxie 500 for seven years, the longest he owned any car, making it therefore the one I spent the most time in. It started out life pale yellow, which my mom hated, so he had it repainted baby blue, which she liked only marginally better. Most of my friends rode around in four-door…
@rodrigotrigo: Oh lord, my brother was saddled with one of those for a few years. Worst. Shitbox. Ever.
That would look good parked next to my Matrix, the spiritual heir of the tall Tercel wagon.
How many automakers have tried to go high-volume in all market segments and lived to tell about it? You know, like AMC?
@mobilene: And I don't want a Mazda 5 or the C-Max we're getting. I want my mini wagon to at least sort of look sporty. And if it has sliding doors anywhere, I'm not buying it.
I love this basic form factor. I just wish these things had more room in the wayback. In other words, I wish they were more (gasp) wagonlike.
My 1989 Chevy Beretta. Yes, you read that right.
30 years from now, Jalop readers will be waxing poetic about these things in the comments, just like we do now about the Oldsmobiles and Buicks our parents drove.
It was a close call for me, but I tipped over to the side of the Crack Pipe. It's a nice Previa and all, nicest I've ever seen. But at the end of the day it's a 20-year-old minivan and they want more than $1,000 for it.
For heaven's sake drop in another Slant 6 — honor that bumblebee with the same kind of goodness the assembly line blessed it with.

I've been commenting here for a darn long time, almost as long as the site has existed (starless, alas). And I used my default password here, and let my browser's cookies keep me logged in. I've been thinking for at least a year that I ought to get more rigorous about my passwords, or at least change to a new…
The new Dodge Magnum wagon they're making out of the forthcoming Chrysler 300. Oh, wait.
Ok, great, whatever, can we have a wagon version please?
There has never been a nicer nice price. Ever. Never will be one nicer than this.
I would like to have a compact truck with this kind of gas mileage, but I'd wait about 4-5 years and buy it used for $6000.
@milkplus: Not even if you live in the same snow state?
