Whenever I think Mustang II, I think turquoise, because so many of them were.

@Murilee Martin: Damn, I didn't mean to ruin the mystique for everyone!!
My l337 d3utsch3 sk1llz are very rusty, but here's more or less what the ad says:
I gots me an 03 Matrix and it has been a great commuter car. Moreover, my two growing sons can sit back there without ever accidentally crossing the plane of "Dad! He's on my side!" because the back seat is on the wide side for a car of this size. And with the seats folded down, I can even bring home crazy stuff like…
@Paul Y: I pretty much got that now... ordered my current car online and deleted everything possible to delete to get the desired payment. It wasn't like buying a Biscayne in 1965 in that it still has carpet, cloth seats, two sun visors, and such, but it's still awfully basic. Only tips to luxury are a CD stereo,…
That is the ugliest truck front end ever produced, bar none.
Some dealers here in flyover country advertise "brand new pickups" for, I dunno, $12,995 or something like that. I'm sure these are the bare-bones models. I'm also sure that, the second you step in the door, they try to upsell you to a luxotruck.
1. I'm amazed to see the plastic nose and the hood have not faded at different rates.
The Hornet sportabout always seemed like such a small car, but these Eagles always seemed big somehow, and it wasn't just the suspension and tires. It's like AMC somehow made the car in 6/5 scale or something.
I saw a '72 example on some old TV show the other day. I couldn't help but think as the strapping male driver got out that the length of his car's hood was supposed to make some statement about his manhood.
The Pacer was weird even for AMC!
I had a Matchbox car of one of these as a kid, but this is the first time I've ever seen a real one.
@west-coaster: That's right! When Mac pulled up in the black-and-white wagon, you knew some heavy stuff was goin' down.
I test-drove one of these when I needed a family car. I couldn't get past the feeling of, "Where the hell are the corners of this thing? Am I about to scrape somebody?" I bought a Sable wagon instead, which ended up being a mistake for its own reasons.
Sweet. Those early-50s Chevys get overlooked too often.
Why in hell would they bolt the Yaris front end onto the current Corolla like that?
Eww!
Holy cow! Mr. Szuch, my neighbor across the street when I was a kid in the 70s, had one of these, in about the same color! I always thought the way the windows looked along the side were like someone squinting out of only one eye.
That is totally wicked!
@TinaChow: Score Productions did the Match Game theme; they were famous for TV game show themes. So it's not outside the realm of possibility that they did this spot!
