I used to work at Don Beyer Volvo in falls church, Virginia. They used to use one of the retired Swedish Embassy 960 limos as a courtesy shuttle to ferry customers to and from the nearby metro station and Tysons corner mall. I think it is still sitting on the back lot of the dealer, but they dont use it on a regular

I simply cannot give this enough stars. The problem comes from every dashboard being backlit all the time, so dumbdumb drivers think that because their dashboard is brightly lit, their headlights/taillights MUST be on, right? RIGHT?

My wife and I recently booked a trip to Orlando. I considered the auto-train from DC (actually lorton, va) to Orlando. The idea of having our own car down there but not having to drive down I95 was appealing, as was the notion of an overnight train trip in a “roomette” with my wife. It all seemed very quaint and

Somewhere, Rob Gronkowski is judiciously taking notes and studying film of Ovechkin in order to perfect the art of staying functionally drunk for 127 hours straight.

CapitalOne bank is headquartered in northern Virginia. It’s a short drive to deliver a campaign donation to the two gentlemen senators from my home state.

This is a stock photo of what I learned on. A base model Tacoma. Mine was even white like this one so everyone thought I was a delivery driver. It might have only had frontal airbags, which probably means my parents didn’t love me, but it was safe enough. No ABS/traction control and a manual trans meant I had to learn

Ah, I did not know this was a feature of the grand Wagoneer tailgate, I thought it had a liftgate and the opening of the window was an option. In that case, yeah, that window needs to be operable.

I, personally, wouldn’t worry too much about that rear window, unless is stuck partially open. Reason being, while it’s lovely for a breezy experience toolin’ around Moab, you want that window shut tight while you’re towing something down the highway. I can speak from personal dumb experience that the airflow over the

I took my behind the wheel course and test in 2003 through the public school system. As a result, we had access to sweet Chevy Lumina Sedans of various ages. Our parking lot exercises were done in mid-90s Luminas, but once see got out on the road we got in the newer late-90s model, with the passenger side brake pedal

As someone who currently fixes cars professionally, and someone who used to sell parts professionally (at a small local chain, not one of the big conglomerates) I cannot wait for the round-up article to this.

I don’t know that it’s angry-looking, so much that it’s got the “squinty-eyes-from-the-meme-with-fry-from-futurama” combined with the “top-half-of-the-lexus-predator-face-grille” look.

One of the two original SU carbs is rusted shut, so it’ll need some work, but I think the engine is still ok, if the rings aren’t stuck to the cylinder walls.

Yeah, I agree. I work at a repair shop, not a body shop. The customer doesn’t expect me to do much of anything with the body, but the mechanical repairs will probably run close to $10k. These cars in really good condition don’t fetch much more that $20-25k so he knows he won’t get his money back out of it, but it is a

Absolutely. I cut my teeth, as it were, in the business fixing Volvos, and the 1800 was always the best looking car that they ever made. The shooting brake version is a close second.

This is unrelated to the article, except for the header image, but a customer of mine had this towed to my shop. He’s been asking if I could give him an estimate to get it moving under it’s own power for months, and I told him if he can get it here, if take a look, figuring he’s never do it. The Virginia safety

Since they came out, I’ve sort of always wanted a Subaru Baja, but can’t bring myself to actually buy one.

BREAKING- KANSAS CITY, MO: Fat man who usually wears red clothing dresses as bearded fat man who usually wears red clothing.

Im not gonna say that you’re wrong, but there is a better way to do this. Opening the window creates wind noise, which is terrible. You should always run the air conditioning with the heat, because one of the functions of the air conditioneris to remove moisture from the air. This keeps your windows from fogging up.
