I would like to know about this also. I am trying to decide between leasing a GTI or WRX, and this would help.

Wow, that Impreza makes the Cherokee look tiny.

What about leasing now? I’m looking to sell my current car (2010 Outback) and leasing a WRX in a few months.

2018 WRX

You have got to stop posting MINI stuff. I’m looking to get a new (to me) car in a few months and MINI’s are on my list. Not as practical, but I loved my 04' S.

That’s a good price for this Jeep. I paid $2k for a rusted out 78' CJ-7 with the same running gear. It did come with a parts Jeep as well.

I’ve always liked Fichtner. So it will be interesting to see him in a non-serious role.

Buy a brand new Wrangler (1997), instead of pouring the same amount into a project Jeep that rust away 5-6 years later.

Grownup’s WRX. I’m looking at getting one of these or a 3.6R. Coming from a 2010 Outback I gotta say, the grownup Subaru crowd is awesome. Since there is not near as much support, they stick together.

My dad is a mechanic, and I have helped him on our’s and other’s cars for as long as I can remember.

This, exactly.

I have at least 2 guys at work who refuse to wear their seatbelts. One just buckles the belt and sits in front of it. The other said he was in a wreck years ago and if he had his belt on he would have died. I think he is leaving out the details though.

I drove a friend’s 2012 with the Polestar tune. Not bad at all.

I didn’t read all 387 replies, but did anyone notice the lack of a parking brake handle? Looks like it will be getting an electric parking brake.

Hands down:

The dash will need to be removed to replace the heater core. Also, Those base 5 speed Cherokee’s did not have AWD. It is a standard NP231 with 2HI, 4HI, N, 4LO. Great basic trail Jeep to start with, but the price needs to drop about $800 to cover the cost of the heater core repair.

We use a similar process to attach ground wires to railroad signal mast in our shop. Ours uses compacted graphite molds.

We leased one of these for my wife, and it’s due to be returned at the end of November. She loves the car, and it made me such a fan of Subaru that I sold my Wrangler and bought an Outback.
