Yeah me too. There's nothing wrong about the content but it felt really didactic and impersonal.

Agreed. I was in a bad mood earlier and that comment was a bit ranty.
I lumped hundreds into 3 and NV, but I'm not feeling this one. A bit negative, but it's always hard to tell if something is worthwhile when the hype machine is spinning relentlessly on its wheels made of money money money.
I really miss that point in the 90s/early 00s when filmmakers were unashamed about their overt choice of film techniques. The cuts to black are so in your face and unsubtle that they scream, 'Ask me, why I'm doing this!'
The last game was really fun. Much better than the pap that is/was Uncharted.
It's interesting you mention Pynchon because I've thought that ever since I saw Paris Belongs To Us. It's very similar to The Crying of Lot 49, even down to the play-orientated paranoia.
I'm thinking the Karen O soundtrack should be made out of elongated grunts. A combination of both her and Tomb Raider's best features.
I like Audition and agree with its high-placing, but I'm pretty sure it's the kind of thing AV Club writers dig a lot because of its association with both Takeshi Miike and Ryu Murakami.
I rented Pulse a few months ago. I thought it was a bit crap, not because it doesn't scare but because it doesn't really do anything.
Yeah, Dino Crisis is knowingly a b-movie in all its ham-fisted dialogue glory.
I don't know what the marketing is like over there in the States, but the bus posters here in the UK really do make it look like a Disney movie. I was surprised when I first read about the film, given that I had no reason to suspect it involved Senor Del Toro.
It's a weird consistency but I've found every single Sion Sono movie is about 30 minutes too long.
