Cleaning off kitchen counters and sweeping. The kitchen is the biggest disease vector in my home. Also, the kid has just started crawling. I’m terrified he’s going to die by crumb.

The biggest promotion annoyance I have is from sources which I do want info from, but not all the stuff. Like Ally. I want to see any emails about my savings account or changes in my portfolio. I don’t care about other services. I want info, not ads.
My husband tends to prioritize small needs over our debt. I consider putting $40 on the credit card more important than a better skillet. It causes a lot of fights.
I prefer the vaping as a bystander. It doesn’t smell as much. There are less carcinogens. Honestly, I’m more worried about catching the flu from walking by a vapor than am I cancer. I still don’t appreciate people vaping around me but I would much rather walk through that than smoke.
My family loves cloth. We use only cloth “paper” towels, napkins, diapers, and menstrual pads. This still seems crazy. Maybe for pee. Like if we were out of tp I would grab one of my baby cloth wipes (also only used for wet). Absolutely not for poo.
I have our credit card debt with one of those color in as you get funds things on the fridge. It’s a constant reminder and it’s embarrassing for company to see unless it is being filled in.
I’m struggling to get my spouse to get anything done when he’s home with the kid (5mo). Any ideas how to teach him? I have my son in a bouncy chair right now while I’m cleaning the kitchen and dinking around on the internet. I don’t see why it is so hard to get basic housework done.
Thanks, all. I’m 10 years post spinal damage and 5 months post baby. Goal is to walk the mother’s day 5k (:
Ok but is it actually possible to boost your metabolism? Mine is getting better now that my thyroid is under control but I swear I could eat 200 calories a day and still not lose weight. I’ve just joined the Y. I’m trying to work out 3 times a week.
On a related note, I hate making small talk while I get my hair cut. If I could wear headphones I would. I’m out alone. I’m kid-free for a half hour. You aren’t my therapist. Just cut my hair and shut up.
How do I know what a specific creditor will find? I want to refinance some debt. A local credit union said they could offer me 3.4% on my credit card debt if my score was above 740. Mint says I’m 715. Citi says I’m 760.
Does he have an e-reader? Montana libraries have digital books you can check out. I’m sure other areas do too. Then he has unlimited books.
I like the savings idea. I want a new comforter. I’m going to buy it anyway but I’ll feel better if I “found” the extra money.
Mine has been coffee on the go. My son is in the doctor a lot. There’s a vegan cafe next door I love. It’s a trap. I am going to start parking on the other side of the lot so I’m not as tempted to go into the cafe.. no more $5 lattes and $3 muffins..
Glad I’m not the only one. I let the kid play with his toes (5 months) today while I had my coffee and then I got his bottle.
YEEESSS! I just paid way too much to have my headlight bulbs swapped because 2010 outbacks have to have the bumper taken off and I live in an apartment building.
Thank you! Going to an allergist is not hard. A good allergist will test one by one (not the whole panel on your back).Think you may be allergic to dairy? Go get a freaking skin test. My allergist is treated as a specialist with my insurance. It’s a $40 co-pay. Way less than several of these mail-in “tests”.
So my financial advisor is a conservative. We really like her, just not her beliefs. I am going to open a 529 and a roth ira in the next year. I want to invest in companies I believe in. Clean energy, pot, trade schools. How do I bring these to her? Next month I’m going to be giving her $250 to start a 529 for my son.…
I live in a city with an effective 0% vacancy rate. I am extraordinarily lucky to have gotten into one of 20 rent-controlled apartments. Sure it’s a little cramped now that there is 3 of us but I’m only spending 50% of my income on housing (everywhere else in town is around 70%). And I am grandfathered in so I can…
Nutritional Yeast! I make air-pop, spray with a little olive oil, then add nutritional yeast flakes and garlic salt. Makes this nutty “cheesy” garlicy awesomeness that actually has some protein and nutrition in it.
