I feel for any mmo where you need to communicate that yes, you landed that interrupt or you’re combat rezzing someone people tend to talk more. Then it just carries into other activities. When we used to go in as a group for pvp it was so much easier if it was all friends/guilds to completely steamroll the other side…

This is why push to talk was invented (on pc at least). I keep myself muted on work conference calls until I need to talk, no way I’d keep my mic live if I could help it.

Yeah I pretty much only talked in guild events or with people I knew in PVP when I played. Now I just speak loud enough to key my husband’s mic if I really want to say something. I can’t really be bothered anymore.
