Oh, Sense8 is just all glorious nudity and dicks all the time, but the only one I recall being the literal focus of a scene so far was the German guy.

I’ve recently been noticing how often TV commercials contain mixed-race couples, in unthreatening suburban contexts. In these commercials it is ALWAYS a black woman with a white man. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a black man/white woman couple in a commercial, or in mainstream tv and movies (unless it is a majority

i think i was secretly hoping they all hated candice but that was definitely me transferring my own desires onto them.

I’m usually not one to bitch about spoilers, especially when there is a warning, but how is revealing the winner a “mild spoiler”? If you had just said spoilers ahead, I probably wouldn’t have clicked on it, but the addition of “mild” made me assume it was something inconsequential...

i watched every episode but i definitely missed the friendship that jane and candice formed. at the end, that blurb really surprised me. we all agreed that was gonna be bbc’s next show or some crap. i don’t mind jane but i don’t think she should have gotten to the final. i thought benjamina was way better! i really

i knew candice was gonna win as soon as the bloody series started (not insider knowledge, just the way they cut all the episodes), but goddamn i was still rooting for andrew. i don’t know if i’m in the minority but i cannot stand candice. although her lipstick colours were quite on point.

I’m not even up to last week - still watching on Netflix. I honestly don’t care that much about spoilers or I wouldn’t have clicked on the post to complain, but giving that many specifics in the title just seems unnecessary.

I don’t expect everyone to embargo. I asked, and there’s absolutely no reason to name specific characters.

It was perfect. No hemming and hawing over how and when. No overly dramatic scene of going to get an abortion or watching her “suffer” through some cramps. Just an “oh, by the way” and that was that. It was all just perfectly realistic and matter of fact.

I also loved that it wasn’t mentioned until 2 weeks after the actual abortion happened and even then only in the context of a mysterious medical bill. No need to show Xo angsting over it or being dramatic in any way. It happened at some point and she moved on.

That was quite possibly the most low-key mention of an abortion I’ve ever seen on a screen. It’s such a good response to this stupid notion that all women who have abortions are scarred for life — as if guilt and suffering are the price you must pay for having done such a thing, even if you wanted or needed it.
