I have 3 WRT54GLs all running DD-WRT. One is my gateway, and the other two are set up to be nothing but WAPs to the LAN (with the ethernet ports as extra switched lan ports). One of these WAPs is upstairs in my house, and the other is downstairs for perfect coverage.

There's always been real-time-rendered game engine previews that look as good as period pre-rendered video. It just never gets used efficiently enough. So devs end up either having to lower the quality so everyone can play it, thus ruining the potential, or having recommended specs so high that _no one_ can play it.
