I know how old this makes me sound, but TPIR is so goddamn loud. When they pan to the audience suggesting prices or numbers or whatever, it looks like the pit of the New York Stock Exchange. There's almost too much energy.

Given Pixar's reputation at the time, Cars was SHOCKINGLY bad. My wife and I had enough after 30 mintes. Fortunately it was playing in about 5 theaters at once, so we snuck into a showing that had started an hour earlier so we could see the ending and go home.

My wife and I might have been at the same show as you. We went to Austin solely to see St. Vincent. Gave the Black Keys a shot but ditched them for Sixth Street after 3 songs.
