And the real culprit is the fact that earned income is taxed at a far higher rate than investment income is one of the true scams of the 20th and 21st century. Once you get enough to be able to live off investments, you essentially live in a 15% tax world for life.

God, Mnuchin is truly a detestable little twerp. He’s Millhouse to Trump’s Nelson Muntz

I may be going way out on a limb here, but I am not entirely sure this guy is qualified for this job.

From a New Yorker article:

Man it would be the most jets thing ever to end up having the OTHER New York team tank and get a high draft pick (AND I’M ALL FOR IT!)

This is the white question to be asking.

Sucks for Fox that we’re not a nation of immigrants who have allegiances to their ancestors’ origins

wall built to defend against mexico ends up hurting united states

Me thinks this is simple:

I can’t get over the fact that a bunch of white men who, for the most part, actively avoided military service even when there was a draft on during many of their lifetimes, have now become the supreme arbiters of what requirements Americans must fulfill in order to be true patriotic citizens who support the troops.

Stupid Diamondbacks, everyone knows the solution is to make the wall higher and make the Dodgers pay for it.

Americans take more offense to a Black man not standing for the anthem than they do from their own President who basically shits on veterans on a regular basis, because deep seated bigotry. Seems like it to me that Americans are the problem here, not the NFL or Jerry Jones.

There was some schlong too. For whatever reason, the nudity in here felt far less gratuitous than the nudity in something like West World. It felt tasteful in a way. The parts that felt a bit exploitive struck me as a commentary on media/advertising.

Your assessment is exaggerated and very dishonest. You’re also not getting into why the film feature two scenes of nudity.

What’s the context, though? Is it nudity for nudity’s sake, or is there a point being made in the narrative (haven’t seen BR or BR2, so honest question)?

I saw it and I thought it was great! Everything in it is artistic rather than exploitative in my opinion (there is significant nudity and violence). If you liked the original then I think you may enjoy this one more, despite its prodigious run time I felt engaged and invested the whole time. It is a visual indulgence,

I saw it as a matinee on Friday and I loved it. I thought it was amazing from start to finish. My feeling though is you would have to see the original to appreciate what a magnificent job Denis Villeneuve has done to maintain the integrity of Ridley Scott’s vision.

I’m someone who likes rough stuff and went to therapy in part because I felt like a freak because some men I was with told me I was broken/gross/not a real feminist. I struggled for years to deny the things I wanted, even though it comes from a place of fun and adventure, and I’ve had some very healthy, positive
