The review seemed tough but fair...until the “la condition humane” comment. Stop being pretentious anonymous reviewer! And yeah, the porn joke was in poor taste given Hollywood’s issues with women. But I may actually have been more upset by the needless insertion of random French.
I’ve linked to an article (three times in this thread) that traces the usage back to Beowulf. Is it without a doubt correct and acceptable.
Oh but that’s not the best part! They are vegans, yet eating ice cream and cheesecake! Wish I could virtually smack them upside the head.
okay but this is legit fucking hilarious and now I’m going to put something in my obit like,
i mean notting hill plays on tbs like 12 times a day
I’m only humorless when it comes to bedbugs. #myownpersonalhell
Oh, no, I do. I think those two are best friends and each other’s favorite companion.
You’d think they learned from Paltrow’s lime fiasco that they should stay in their lane.
When booking international travel with multiple stops/ a RTW trip, I recommend Boots N All. We just booked a 3 week long trip to hawaii, new zealand, and australia and through their tool was able to minimize layovers and costs but maximize convenience with a total hacker fare. they have great customer service too!
rome2rio.com is my absolute favorite for planning how to get from point A to point B in almost any country. It looks at all modes of transit - plane, train, bus, rental car, etc. and automatically pulls times, schedules, and prices. I’ve used it successfully in India and Central America and it was invaluable
I’m from the UK, but I do a lot of business in the US - all over the country. I’m lucky enough to work with my husband, so when we can we take the opportunity to take a couple of days (or more) out to drive between locations and make a roadtrip of it, rather than flying.
All the tools I use are pretty much useless without 2 things (which are related) - my planned itinerary and my packing list. That takes research.
I do road trips in the American West. I start out in one city (Marfa, Albuquerque, Denver, Las Vegas etc.) and end someplace over 1,000 miles away. I never drive straight. I…
I always check out Atlas Obscura to find out interesting and original destination points. I know there’s a lot of Reddit hate, but their city subreddits are helpful to figure out local hotspots, and are almost always updated to the moment, whereas guidebooks can’t keep track. When I’m traveling to larger cities, Herb…
TripIt. That app is the greatest thing that ever happened to travel planning. It goes into your email (or you can forward things to it) and picks out all the travel related things (hotels, flights, tour tickets, etc) and cobbles them together into a cohesive trip for you. It also stores the information offline on your…
When we went to Europe, my hubs followed a bunch of people on Instagram in the cities we were going who were interested/posting what we were interested in. We ended up meeting several of them and got some rad tours from locals and saw things we never would have otherwise. It was amazing.
Agreed on a dirty clothes containment area. Like The Offspring sagely sang, “You gotta keep ‘em separated.”
The problem for me with bring extra undies is that you have to get half undressed to change into them. I just bring ultra thin panty liners with me. I’ll change at least twice during a long flight or even a long car ride. My bits feel less sweat logged and I don’t have to take my shoes and pants off mid-flight. Once…
