I swear, it’s like Trump is picking his administration officials based on their irony scores.

I’m biased on this, but I think that’s largely because Democratic policy positions are nuanced and hard to discern into sound bites while Republicans make simplified black and white arguments.

I guess I could consider it.... But considering most government benefits average at like $200 a month or so, I may find it hard to keep up a drug habit.

In my experience, liberal voters also act as if there’s a consistent and rational basis for people’s beliefs. I see liberals say things like “Don’t they understand why abortion is necessary?” But they do. My partner’s ex-roommate posts almost nothing but anti-abortion stories to her Facebook but guess what her

And just ignore the hundred years (give or take) after when black people were systematically denied a good education, skilled labor, and civil rights while being attacked from all sides by the justice system and the political system.

Speaking as a black male who hasvoted Democrat for the past decade (since I came of age to vote), I would love if they finally got me some of that free stuff. I have students loans that are kicking my ass. I’ve heard repeatedly about all this free college money for black people, but I never won any of the handfull

Are you telling me the Birmingham Bus Boycott wasn’t in New Jersey? My life has been a lie.

Yeah, No. A single punch with no wind up or follow through is not deadly force and it isn’t a felony. It was (at best), a misdemeanor battery to respond to a misdemeanor battery.

She made physical contact. That’s not an assault, that’s a battery and it triggers his right of self defense.

I respectfully suggest you research the legal elements of battery and self defense as an affirmative defense. You will find the legal system disagrees with your position.

I actually enjoy Christmas, I just wanted to post that Dr. Seuss quote.

I’m the opposite:

I hate Christmas. The whole Christmas season. Don’t ask me why, nobody quite knows the reason.....

OK, thanks for playing chief.

Regardless of the crimes committed, throwing a person in jail for life before their brain has fully developed is the very definition of cruel and unusual punishment.

Defense attorney here...... I just have to step in to say don’t make the mistake of thinking all those who commit crimes are doing it because of need.

A fairly large section of American society has no problem with prison rape because they view it as a “just punishment” for those who transgress against crimes. Just pull up any random crime story on a local news media website and I guarantee there will be people rejoicing in a suspect’s inevitable pending rape.

OK, Normcore wins:

He went a long way towards eliminating corruption when he put Pam Bondi on his transition team.

Yeah. When you’re not worried about being a target/victim, it’s really easy to put things on a back burner.
