Um. Ok. Is this you or your hair talking? (Sorry, I just had to!)

And that’s how VAG products rape your wallet... they look so nice that it causes you to spend $$$$ over and over again due to stupid, expensive-to-fix engineering choices they made with the electricals, trim and powertrain.

That’s the thing. They’re never going to make a compact truck that is actually useful. They wont make these with a regular cab. It’s going to be “crew cab” with a 4 foot bed you can’t actually do anything with.

You got the right idea. Buy an old ass regular cab half ton and use it for truck stuff. There are tons of 20+

I’ll stick with mine but sure, the fifth gen is okay. The problem is, these are not cheap—you can’t touch one for under $30k, and they’re definitely not worth the $70k that some dealers are asking for black wheels and blue paint.

When I bought my 1980 Triumph Spitfire, I came across plenty of incriminating data crammed behind the cardboard parts of the glove compartment. None of it was encrypted.

Just wait for a pouring rain spring day and go for a short highway drive.

That’s also why I don’t connect my phone to rental cars

My favorite spring cleaning mode is to:

The real trick is to get a couple of lawn sprinkers (the discs/arc types work best IMO), daisy chain them together, place them under the car, turn on the water & adjust pressure as needed - less the better, wait 45 minutes.
