When I was a kid one of my friends uncles had one of these Checker Aerobus with the roof cut off, he also had this red and white stripped awning which he would put a cross a frame that was pertinently welded in place where the roof originally was and had it in it's original taxi paint scheme. Damn I wish I still had a

this must be in the top 5

Does look fairly legit, that particular plane was one that Skunk works used for testing since it was modified so much from the rest of the fleet and had that tail paint on it until it was restored. Currently that plane is on display with standard paintings on it but looking at some pictures while it was in service it

That one would easily last the longest

1963 Ford Galaxie 500 "Box Top" this was only for half a model year, half way through production they went to the 1963 1/2 Fast back models. And one hell of a sleeper when you had the 427 Thunderbird engine with the 3x2 carbs on it

And I bet that is one of the heaviest rail cars ever with that giant cast iron engine block

What they didn't post the lap time?

What about the VW 1 Liter Car? 1 liter of fuel to go 100 KM in a car with a 1 liter 1 cylinder engine? I think someone at VW just had a fetish for 1's with this car

about 10 years ago I got a 87' Ford Aerostar with 180k miles on it for $50, drove it for two years with no repairs needed to be done on it and put about 60k miles on it in the process before the engine gave out since I didn't maintain it at all in that time frame.

I can say that I have had the car up to 105 so far and it didn't even shift into 3rd gear yet at that point. The top speed of the car is right around 170 for the stock 6.9 (I expect the same for the 7.3L AMG as it redlines at the same RPM). I was also able to run a 1/4 mile in the low 13's in it.

My 1977 Mercedes 6.9 AMG Stage-3, first time I drove it I never expected a car that big and heavy to take off like that. Also the handling was quite surprising, I can easily throw that around a 90 degree left hand turn at 30MPH on city streets. The last shock was to my wallet when I filled the gas tank up, 20 gallons

Oh My God Road, between Idaho Springs and Central City in Colorado

1987 Ford Aerostar with the the 2.8L engine and 5-speed manual. I had this car several years ago and got myself in an impressive amount of trouble with it. The damn thing topped out at 80, but that was if it was in gear. Power steering was a thing of the past on this one, and it had this really useful quirk were if I

been down the same road myself many times and it is very long and straight, I think i saw in one of articals that it was Gun Club Road

for newer cars I would go with the Suzuki Maruti 800, for older cars I would go with the Volvo 244

Really, only one other person remembered the Bowler Wildcat? I think you guys need to catch up on some past Top Gear episodes

is or does it look like a Saab when looking at it from the back to the front?
