So wrong. There is no such thing as a parking permit in NYC. That neighborhood has a bunch of residential parking which you don’t have to pay for. Just good luck getting a spot. Also during the day most of the parking that isn’t residential is commercial only so trucks can make deliveries.

Turn down the brightness of everything on the dash and it makes a huge difference. Your eyes won’t be straining to see what is really out in front of you.

Also a reminder of why to drive a manual. If the thief doesn’t stall, there is no way that guy would have been able to recover and get into the car.

I believe you are correct sir. The marked cruiser parked in front of the van usually travels with it too. You can tell that cruiser apart because all of the windows have very dark tints. These guys stage down in Tribeca and enjoy a cup of coffee in their full gear once in a while.
