LIRR does the same thing where the track switches are located. I'm not sure why this is news since it happens every winter. Also on the LIRR at least, there are gas lines plumbed to where the switches are.

Wouldn’t surprise me with the FCA crowd. The Challenger and Charger fan boys are reselling the yellow front lip protectors that are supposed to be taken off as part of dealer prep.

Justin, you should do a write up on the homeless problem in Seattle. Most live in cars, vans, and RVs which is jalop, right?

Are you gonna do a Seattle Jalopnik meet up/swag giveaway?

Pagani uses Mercedes V12s, so it’s not like they necessarily were leading the pack ahead of Aston Martin.

This route used to run from 2004 to 2013. This is just a relaunch using a new plane which most likely made this route profitable again.

If there were three attempts at a green, white, checker finish I'm sure it would have been closer.

The two engine blips sound savage. I'm going with the twin turbo V8 Cadillac released for the CT6 V-sport as the foundation of the new Vette.

Looks like the demand for stolen cars from Newark, NJ is drying up.

Now playing

Forget track ready, this thing is built to fly!! Built to FAA regulations. Gotta love that sales pitch.

My guess is that the wheel allows for some movement between the land speed car and the push truck. Due to the gearing required to get up to the speeds some of the cars achieve, a push is required to get going from a stop.

I also like to road cycle and I also commute to work by bike in Seattle. Seattle has a large bike commuting population compared to the majority of other US cities. Yes it’s great to see others choosing to get around via bike instead of by car or bus, but most of the bike share users don’t follow the rules of the road

A dogleg manual trans has 1st to the bottom left, then 2nd above 3rd. The reasoning is that while racing you spend a good chunk of time in 2nd or 3rd.

ATS-V because way faster than a M3/M4 and CTS-V because big honkin LT4.

Great picture of a Ford truck next to a Ford sedan/not a truck to spark this debate!

People are ditching their cars in Seattle and relying solely on ReachNow and Car2Go. After living in both cities, the big difference I have realized between NY and Seattle is that everyone has a car in Seattle. Not many people have cars in NY.

Good luck getting those mpg figures in a F150, especially that 20mpg city. I have a FoST and can barely get 20mpg city.

I was at a car show about 15 years ago at Raceway Park in NJ and was able to fool some guido that my mustang was a special GT-R version. I even told him it was a turbo rotary that was built with pistons and headers and the dude fell for it. Can’t believe he couldn’t figure out I was really packing a v6 that was down

Where do you live that the state doesn’t care about at least the weight and fuel of your vehicle? Everywhere that I have lived, you need your VIN to register a car and surprisingly you can figure out what fuel a vehicle uses based on it’s VIN.
