Just about the only EV that commands my attention when I see one. Lucid is a close second. Man this is just pretty.

Make it a shooting brake and I might be right there with you.

My house was built in the 40's, I have a fairly narrow driveway that runs between my house and the one next door. With something 72in wide, I can just get my bins or a bike or something past. Too many new cars are maxing out the allowable ~80in. The cars are too damn wide.

69 year old here. Couldn’t agree more about the hypercar licensing. And that applies to the 18 year old being given one as a birthday present as well as the 70 year old still trying to make up for his other deficiencies.

The US should require behind the wheel driving tests every 10 years. With a written test every 5.

Stricter license standards. Revamp the whole program. Instructors need to be well trained to point out mistakes in your test drive. The driver needs more education and training. Defensive driving courses should be mandatory in some way. Basic knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting should be mandatory. Special

Import age rules for private citizens are dumb. Let people bring in whatever deathtrap they want so long it won’t kill anyone else and doesn’t roll coal. An S4 wagon isn’t going to hurt anyone.

We should have pretty strict size restrictions on how big civilian vehicles can be. Trucks these days can’t even fit to established parking spaces. They block other vehicles’ sight lines on the road, they are unable to see pedestrians or other obstacles and hazards over their massive hoods, and their overcompensating

They heard what we want but forgot that we also care about price and quality

I kind of dig it.

With that said, man this IS a pretty car. It looks like Porsche built a Model 3 out of the McLaren parts bin.

This is the correct answer.  Mazdaspeed all the things.  And put manuals back in them!

Rule 8: If this is your first time at Fight Club, you have to fight.

Growing up, there was someone in the area (I never met the person) who must have been a higher-up at the Fiat/Lancia facility off I-295 in South Jersey, because I used to see a variety of Lancias driving around town.

Looked rad as hell, to 1980's kid me. And, then people started turning them into Ferraris and Lamborghinis! I mean how cool is that?

Little did I actually know, they were gutless little fire hazards.

Others have already called out the Kia Soul, so I’ll drop the other car for “regular people” that I’ve always liked:

Nissan Skyline R34, oh wait !!

At $27,000 I was expecting this thing to be mint, and I was still going to ND someone else’s project (because, well, it’s not a mint E30 if half the car is other cars).  This....is just offensive. I’m upset Rob would subject us to this.
