I must be the odd ball out of all of the replies. I like these things. I saw one in person and thought it was really cool. Also, I was in the market for a toy/small roadster recently and this was on my radar. Then a 2000 M Roadster came up for sale at a price that I couldn’t pass up.

It can’t be replaced on 987 engines without splitting the block to get to it. The 986 generation had the issue worse and the IMS was “easy” to replace.

I owned one almost identical to this, Guards Red 2006 CS, without the eye sore of an interior. IMS is the least of your worries here. Needs to have a deep sump oil pan to eliminate the bore scoring if anyone plans to flog this thing on a track. Long right hand sweepers will starve the driver’s side bank of cylinders

The problem with wagons is that they are scarce in this world of crossovers/SUVs. You can no longer get a BMW Touring variant, the only Audi ones you can get are the jacked up Allroads or a $112K performance wagon, the gorgeous Mazda 6 Wagon is not sold in the US and no domestic manufacturer makes a wagon. I would

Chrysler has been on the brink of shutting down for so long.  Why not put it out of it’s misery and just have everything under the Dodge name?

Another vapor ware car that I was actually produced.

If they build a Quadrifoglio, does the mean that the Hornet would get a SRT model?

They did sell a Mazda6 Wagon in the states.  I owned a 2004 gray wagon.  put over 100k miles on it before it rusted out.

So many wagons.  They aren’t available in the US anymore.  Now that the M3 Touring is being produced, of course it isn’t available here.  I would even take a M340i touring.  I own a 2022 X3 M40i but I only bought this because the touring isn’t available.

I would love to have a M340i Touring here in the US instead of my X3 M40i.  I am so disappointed that BMW decided not to sell the Touring models here.

I went with the all BMW Dream garage.  2022 BMW X3 M40i, 2022 BMW r NineT and just bought a 2000 BMW M Roadster.  Have the best of all worlds.

Greenwood Roadway, Indianola, Iowa

I call complete bullshit on this.

The Mazda6, especially the wagon, even though we never got it in the states. I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Also, bring back anything Mazdaspeed please. Give me a Mazdaspeed6 Wagon with a manual and I wouldn’t be able to part with my money fast enough.

I tried everything.  Even those instructions.  Never worked for me.

I really like this car.  This will compete with with Mazda CX-5 very well.

I agree with you on this point.  That is just a little overstyled.  I had an Stelvio with the phone dial wheels and I loved them.

Whomever’s opinion it was to say that the Alfa Romeo Phone Dial wheels were the w0rst, I want to Will Smith slap you.

I leased a 2018 Stelvio. It had sat on the lot for a year and they took $10k off the list price. I bought it off the lease and when I finally traded it in 2 weeks ago, got all of $2500 in equity in this used car market, should have been around $9000 but not Iowa.

This is the way it should have looked like in the first place.  I would have been much more interested in it.
